Bollywood Celebrities Start A Virtual Game Of Antakshari To Beat The Quarantine Blues, And We Think It’s A Great Idea

Who knew that one of the most difficult things to do in life, more than that bad breakup with the toxic ex, or having to resist cheese burst on a lunch date, would be to think of more things to do, as the entire nation finds itself stuck in quarantine. More than a week since we’ve been shoved into this less than pleasing situation, most of us are finding it hard to go beyond our eat, Netflix, sleep, repeat plan. Turns out, the Bollywood stars may have come up with a way to keep themselves and therefore us, entertained.

Talking about being hit with boredom, it seems like the stars and starlets have too hit their limit and exhausted most of the ways to pass their time. But no worries, since the young Pati Patni Aur Woh actor, Aparshakti Khurana has introduced a rather fun way to take care of that problem right there. With a new and digital spin on the classic old game of antaakshari, Aparshakti started a series of dropping some tunes to do away with the boredom, and to our delight, a lot of stars followed suit.

Joining in the fun of the game was Jabariya Jodi actress Parineeti Chopra who sang, ‘Tu Hi Re’, while actor Arjun Kapoor made his singing debut on the game by singing Anu Malik’s famous song, Ek Garam Chai Ki Pyaali Ho. He further nominated Vishal and Shekhar to take it up a notch from there, suggesting how they’ll be much better at it than anyone else.

Others who joined in this fun challenge were actors like Ananya Pandey who picked the song Dheeme Dheeme from her own movie, Pati Patni Aur Woh, with director Shashank Khaitan. Karishma Tanna also joined in. Safe to say, this virtual round of antaakshari came as a fresh breath of air for everyone who has been stuck in their homes with not much to do.

Who knew a game this old, one that we’d only ever play during our childhood would again find itself circling back, on a newer medium but with just as much energy and enthusiasm as before. So in case, you too feel burdened down with the being idle woes, take to your Instagram stories, sing a song you like, nominate your friends, and enjoy a musical resolve to this quarantine!
