Bharat From Manikarnika Is Hitting Us Right In The Feels And You Need To Watch It

Manikarnika, the story of the warrior queen – Jhansi ki Rani, has already captured our interest with its trailer, but its song Bharat, has literally given us goosebumps. The song that was released on Tuesday, is a soft melody that evokes patriotism and love for our country after one listens to it.

Bharat takes us through the journey of Rani Laxmi Bai’s becoming. It beautifully captures her transition from a daughter to a mother, and from a warrior to a leader. Glimpses of her as a kid, learning the art of wielding a sword, to growing up with strong values and love towards India, and to protecting its pride by taking on the British. All of it leaves us touched and honestly, emotional.

Lyricist Prasoon Joshi and composer Shankar Mahadevan have outdone themselves with this melodious track. The song was released in Delhi and when asked about it, Kangana explained how, “This song is the spirit of our film. The aatma of our film. Delhi is the spirit of India, its aatma and the heart as well. So there is no better place to launch this film than in Delhi. That’s why we have come here, to launch the song and to make you all a part of the event”.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and set to release on January 25, this film already has our hearts and we can’t wait to see Kangana in action.
