Death Of 23-Year-Old Girl In Bengaluru’s Water Logged Roads Raises Questions Against Government’s Negligence
We choose our representatives to form a government so that our basic needs at the least are fulfilled and taken care of. However, this is often seen in our country that as soon as the elections end, the party in power forgets all the promises and changes they vowed to make in society, Who suffers? Of course, the common man. And a similar case of negligence at work has resulted in the death of a young girl from Bengaluru. She lost her life on the flooded roads of the city and this incident has resulted in a severe backlash against the Karnataka Government.
For the past few days. the pictures of flooded roads from Bengaluru have been doing rounds. The conditions of the road are so pathetic that people have to use lifeboats on it. This condition was very clear to the whole country and the state government. On September 5, Monday, a girl named Akhila was returning home on her scooty at night. Struggling through the jammed water-logged roads, she got down her scooty and tried to tow the vehicle. Unfortunately, while doing this she lost balance and caught hold of an electric pole. Due to electrocution, Akhila fell and was rushed to the hospital but could not survive. As per reports, the incident took place in the Whitefield area of Bengaluru.

Post this incident, the people have been outraged at the Karnataka Government. The incident has given rise to questions about the failure of the various authorities who have failed to manage such a dire situation in the city.
