Assam Cop Carries Her Seven-Month-Old Baby To Police Station Every Day. But Don’t Applaud This Just Yet

Women have always had it difficult during pregnancy and even post-delivery. Being able to give birth is one of the main reasons why women are not preferably hired thinking they will need maternity leaves, leaves for when their baby gets sick or has to take a day off to take care of their little one. And even if they are hired, there is a lot of reluctance when it comes to granting them leaves that they need to attend to their baby. In such cases, the women often end up taking their babies to their workplace with them because there is no one to take care of them. In one such incident, a woman cop in Assam has been carrying her baby to the police station every.

Woman Cop Carries Baby Every Day To Work

As per a report by NDTV, Sachita Rani Roy who is deputed in the Silchar PI Court in Cachar district has been seen carrying her baby to the police station every day in a baby carrier. Her maternity leave is over and there is no one to take care of the baby at home hence, she brings her seven-month-old baby to her work. She has also not been granted leave, leaving her with no option but to bring her baby with her to the police station, which is no place for kids or babies to be at.

Sachita Rani Roy’s husband is a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and is posted outside Assam. Roy lives with her baby in Silchar’s Malugram area. She is thankful to her colleagues and the police department for being understanding and accommodating of her situation. She reaches the station at 10.30 AM despite all the troubles and leaves only after her work is done. Sachita Roy also went on to say that she will have to keep bringing her baby to work until her leaves are granted. Her efforts and dedication have been lauded in all the quarters.
