I have always heard that women face more discrimination than men in the workplace. Women are less paid than men, they get fewer opportunities as compared to men, and they also have to do extra work to prove themselves which doesn’t make any sense. But this high-profile story is a bit twisted. Recently, Ankiti Bose, the CEO and co-founder of Zilingo, got suspended amid financial issues. However, there is a twist in this story.

Zilingo is a fashion e-commerce company which is based in Singapore. Recently, the company suspended its CEO and co-founder Ankiti Bose due to financial issues. However, amid the investigation, there are several reports which indicate that the Indian founder was suspended after she raised harassment complaints against an investor of the company. Meanwhile, Ankiti Bose called the investigation a ‘witch hunt’ and denied all the charges against her. According to the report, she has hired an attorney named Abraham Vergis of Providence Law Asia to defend her.

According to the reports, the Sequoia Capital India-backed company was trying to raise funds when the accounting issues were revealed. 

The company was founded by Ankiti Bose and Dhruv Kapoor in the year 2015. The suspension of Ankiti is valid till May 5, as per reports.
