It’s sickening how some men abuse their fame and authority to lure young girls into their traps. They always hold this conceited belief that they are shielded from the consequences of their shady actions because of the power they wield. We’ve been reminded that horrid men like these walk amongst us on numerous occasions. Most recently, reality hit us in the face when famed social media influencer Funbucket Bhargav was arrested for the rape of a 14-year-old girl. Do you know what this tells me? Contrary to popular belief, the number of followers you have on social media doesn’t equate to who you are as a person. This man has 393k followers on Instagram but he is nothing more than a rapist.
TikTok fame Chippada Bhargav, a.k.a Funbucket Bhargav, was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in Visakhapatnam. He shot to fame on Tik Tok with his videos. His “Oh my God! Oh my God!” line was picked up by several brands, including Twitter, Netflix and Swiggy. The way he used his fame and fortune though is chilling and sickening.
On 16 April, the 14-year-old girl’s family filed an FIR after they found out that she was four months pregnant. Subsequently, Funbucket Bhargav was arrested by the Andhra police in Hyderabad. The police have said that since this is a POSCO case, they have transferred it to the Disha Police in Visakhapatnam. These were set up to investigate crimes against women and children in Andhra Pradesh after the brutal Priyanka Reddy rape case in 2019.

According to reports, Disha Assistant Commissioner of Police Prem Kajal said that Bhargav noticed the victim on Tik Tok first. After watching her videos, he contacted her and promised her offers on media channels. Later he told the girl that he was interested in her. When she rejected his advances, Bhargav started blackmailing her and told her he allegedly had inappropriate videos of her. Men really can’t take no for an answer, can they? It’s always about their fragile egos! The ACP said, “He had proposed to the survivor and she had rejected him. But he blackmailed her saying he had her explicit videos. The survivor is also pregnant.”
Hopefully, Bhargav will be held accountable and will receive an appropriate sentence for the rape of a minor, a 14-year-old girl. It’s absolutely disgusting.
