Alia Bhatt also shared a picture of the two from the film and wrote, “Can’t believe it’s been 5 years! Best crew best people and the beginning of the dhulania journey..Too much love”

Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan’s chemistry…Duh!

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s chemistry in the film was absolutely crackling. From SOTY to Kalank we have turned  die-hard fans of the two.The two are equally hardworking and enthusiastic which also reflects in the film. They’ve translated their friendship on to the screen and we’re living for it.

If you’re into peppy songs, emotional songs  or even looking for a party anthem, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania had it all! I mean…we all know we have played them on loop and we are not complaining! Also, remember Alia Bhatt had sung the female unplugged version of the song Samjhawan. Alia fans were swooning and we know why. It was amazing.

Gave a tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge!

Varun Dhawan, while promoting the film also said that it is a modern day tribute to the 1995 most-iconic film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Won’t completely agree on that but Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania had its own charm and some of the scenes did remind us of  DDLJ!  Today’s youth reacts very differently to authority and the film reflected exactly that. The film is definitely a humble, small tribute to DDLJ but not exactly like it. Now isn’t that reason enough?

The TV Hearthrob Sidharth Shukla

Sidharth Shukla grabbed many eyeballs in the film and not counting him as a reason to love the film would be unfair! Handsome and dashing TV actor Siddharth Shukla made his debut in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and nailed his performance in his first film itself. We’re still not over his charming smile and hot body, which also gave a tough competition to our Humpty aka Varun Dhawan.

Even though Dharma Production is going through a hard time with few flop releases this year, you can’t deny that Karan Johar also had a major part to play in the success of this film. The producer launched this duo and Karan is the one we must thank for bringing the two back together in a film. And the fact that Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’s trailer got over 1 million views on YouTube on the day of its release, proves that the movie was a hit the minute it release.
