Aaradhya Bachchan Drew A Sketch To Extend Gratitude To The Frontline Warriors. We Could All Learn To Be More Grateful

Each time I go to get my supply of groceries, I make sure I have a mask on and I don’t come in contact with any public surface. I walk, vary of every person I come across and unwilling to compromise on social distancing. It almost feels like I am walking amidst a bunch of zombies or like I have an identity to protect. And then I wonder it scares me so much to just be out there in the open knowing that anything or anyone can be infected, how brave are the people who still manage to go out there?

These are the people on the frontline of crisis: the doctors, health care professionals, police officers, government officials, blue collar workers, etc. They are out there knowing that they are the most susceptible to contracting COVID-19 because they are not getting to be in self-quarantine. Every day, we hear inspirational stories of how doctors are trying to cheer their patients up. But they too are overworked and exhausted, aren’t they? We’ve heard of police officers lifting the spirit of people and doing things for them that go way beyond their KRA, just to bring a smile on our faces. They too are away from their families and in danger. The blue collar employees, who are making sure our lives are easier, probably go home tired and hungry with little to eat.

I think I can collectively say for most of us, that we are feeling immense gratitude and positivity thanks to these heroes. And it’s surprising how mature children are these days; they say such deep things through their drawings, if not always words. Aaradhya Bachchan expressed her gratitude to all those frontline heroes who have been battling the novel coronavirus to the best of their capabilities.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to Instagram to share the sketch and wrote, “My darling Aaradhya’s Gratitude and Love.” The sketch was actually wonderfully thought out and showed the little one has a rather mature thought process. She drew herself with her parents, safe inside her home being protected by all these soldiers. She added “Stay Safe” and “Stay Home” in the sketch. Even a little child understands the gravity of the situation. Really, a lot of us doing our bit by staying home, social distancing, and practicing safety measures. I hope this inspires those who have been sneaking out, violating the lockdown to be more responsible.
