A Video Of A Little Girl From Arunachal Pradesh Not Letting Her Father Go Out In Times Of Lockdown Is Winning Our Hearts!
Having been raised on a diet of fictional novels and superhero movies, at more than one point in life, I wanted to grow up and turn into my favourite superhero to save the world. And while in my head, all that saving would’ve been from a zombie apocalypse or maybe an alien invasion, the one we have going on right now is more of a virus outbreak, and suddenly, being a superhero to save the world doesn’t involve wearing capes and getting into duels anymore. What it does require is sitting at home, washing your hands and making sure the rest of your family follows suit. Which is why, when a little girl from Arunachal Pradesh, was caught on camera blocking the way when her father to go out, she was hailed a hero, which she is.
As the entire human civilization has been pushed into the confines of their homes, the only way to battle it and come out alive is by staying inside and as easy as it may sound in theory, it’s far more difficult than we would’ve imagined. This coming from someone in her third week of quarantine. We understand the urge to break out and feel like you can breathe again, but the need of the hour, for the next two weeks is to stay in. And this little girl did not let her father out and her video is going viral on social media and how.
Blocking the entry of the door, this tiny girl from Arunachal Pradesh stands with her hands stretched out, reminding her father of what Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked of all citizens. She holds her ground solid and does not let her father pass, who was only pretending to leave in the first place. Saying, “Mat jaao (don’t go)” to her father in what can only be the most adorable appeal to stay inside, her 15 second video has won the hearts of hundreds of netizens, including ours.
