A Newly Wed Wife Filed A Police Complaint Against Her Husband After Finding Out He Was Bald And Was Hiding It With A Wig

In my opinion, there is a different kind of a charm to movies that are based on real life stories. Suddenly, the story line charms you more, it gives you a hope that what happened on reel has happened for real and that nothing is quite impossible. And while all that is good when motivational, inspirational or even horror movies are based on real life stories, what happens when real life starts getting influenced by the movies? The one in question here is the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer, Bala, a movie that revolved around the premature balding of one man.

A man in Mumbai has recently been booked by his wife for cheating her by hiding the fact that he is bald. A plot almost point to point similar to the movie Bala. In real life, this 29-year-old husband apparently kept his baldness from his wife, and the 27-year old-wife, felt duped and also alleged that the husband’s family also did not come clean to her about the reality.

In the police complaint that has now been filed, the woman said that her husband  had been sporting a wig all along, and that if she had known about him not having hair, she wouldn’t have married him in the first place. She further mentioned that a day after they got married, she found out the truth, that the husband’s family try to pass off as a ‘minor issue’. Except to her, it wasn’t.

Reports suggest that the woman has also filed a complaint about her in-laws harassing her for more dowry and alleged that her husband performed unnatural sexual acts on her. At present, the husband has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC. Meanwhile, Kailash Barve, senior inspector of Naya Nagar police station confirmed that, “The main accused got married to the complainant, a chartered accountant, in September this year. The woman later discovered that he was bald and had been wearing a wig.”

Whether the allegations about harassment are true or not, we are yet to find out. But, the fact that the man thought it was okay to dupe a woman into marrying him, hiding vital information about himself, does feel like cheating. No matter how superficial the matter would seem, to end a marriage on loss of hair, it is about having the integrity to not lie to the woman you are to spend your life with. Guess, while the man could have been influenced by Bala to sport a lie and a wig, the woman was also influenced by Yami Gautam, who chooses to leave the moment she realises she has been taken for a ride!
