A Court In Japan Ordered A Woman To Compensate A Man For Sleeping With His Wife
People often say that marriage is hard and you have to constantly keep working on your relationship. There are ups and downs and sharp turns at every corner. But there are some problems that you can’t just ignore or solve by sweeping them under the rug. Cheating, for instance, is one such problem. What would you do if your spouse was cheating on you? Divorce? Catty revenge? Or forgiveness? It’s a tricky situation to be in. However, this man in Japan found a way to make it work. You see, a court ordered a woman to monetarily compensate him after she slept with his wife. Fidelity isn’t usually a laughing matter but right now, I just can’t help myself.
A 37-year-old woman in Tokyo, Japan has been ordered by a district court to pay a man more than 1,100,00 yen (Rs 70,000) as compensation for allegedly having sex with his wife. I like that at least this way, the same sex relationship is being recognized. According to reports, this ruling came after the husband filed a complaint against the woman for engaging in sexual relations with his wife. I am wondering why the wife wasn’t penalized. Wasn’t she as much to blame as the accused woman?

The man alleged that his wife met this woman online. This situation reminds me of Ross, Carol and Susan’s situation on FRIENDS. Well, if Ross had sued Susan. Which let’s face it, he would’ve done in a heartbeat if he could and it would make for a hilarious episode. Anyway, at least this man was monetarily compensated with a whopping amount. The woman accused in this case argued in court that her actions didn’t ruin the marriage and it does not count as infidelity. The court in Japan responded by ordering her to compensate the man and said that an act undermining peace does not constitute infidelity in marriage.
