A 70-Year-Old Woman In Gujarat Gave Birth To Her First Child. Ah, Science!

Of the many heartwarming stories of IVF is the story of this woman from Gujarat who embraced motherhood at the age of 70. Yes, a 70-year-old Gujarat woman named Jivuben Valabhai gave birth to a healthy baby a month ago in the Kutch district. According to the reports, the woman doesn’t have an ID to prove her age, but she claims to have seen 65-70 summers till now.
The woman and her husband have been married for the last 45 years. They had a long-standing desire for a baby and when they couldn’t conceive a child they turned to IVF for help. The IVF process was challenging for the couple as well as the doctors due to the woman’s age and other factors, but they still went ahead with the procedure. And after going through eight months of pregnancy the 70-year-old woman gave birth to a healthy little baby.

Science and technology takes me by surprise – especially methods like IVF. And hearing about this couple who have waited their whole life for a baby and now their dream has come true is just so heartwarming.
