5 Games You Can Play With Friends And Family In The Digital Universe

In a real life imitates reel life situation, life in lockdown is exactly like all those holocaust movies we’ve grown up watching, except instead of aliens or zombies on the lose, what we have on our hands here is a deadly virus called coronavirus, that started from  China but has now brought the world down to its knees. And instead having the hero complex of going out there and fighting big bad guy, we are fighting away boredom because staying at home is pretty heroic right now.

A few days ago, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced for a complete lock down for 21 days. The biggest thing is we do not know how to deal with this luxury of time we had suddenly been given. Our first instinct was to spend it doing what we know best – sleep, for hours on end. Followed by binge eating and binge watching, both of which, much like our patience, were exhausted sooner than we had anticipated.

So, as we move further into this seemingly indefinite period of quarantine, it only makes sense to find things to do, to keep up with our sanity, if not vanity (not happening). And coming to the rescue have been various games and apps that have not only helped in passing some of this difficult and stressful time, but also provided a much needed sense of comfort and connection. Here are 5 of our best picks to help you waltz through this quarantine…

Psych

Psych is a game you should have on your phone anyway, because it’s fun even when you’re not in quarantine. The game is where everyone is asked questions about another person and you can throw up a bunch of fun answers because you know them in real life. It’s like trolling your friends during a game and everyone knows how much fun that is.

An app that is a fancy variation of your regular video call, allows for your friends, and subsequently their friends to tune in for a group video call where you all can get together for a virtual mixer. Yes, it isn’t same as the actual concept of having a house party, but in these times of coronavirus, this is as close as it gets, and with the leverage of running into long lost friends over the video, this one is sure to keep you hooked!
