Meet The #HauteSquad: Tatiana Dias

Meet The #HauteSquad: Tatiana Dias

So we’ve turned 1 *yay*! And now, FINALLY, we’ve decided to introduce the geniuses behind Hauterfly… ok, we’ve decided to introduce you to the #HauteSquad! So here’s your inside track into who brings you your favourite stories and the madness that goes on at Hauterfly HQ.

Cute, funny, and oh-so-sweet, our resident fashionista, AKA Lil Miss High T, not only has a keen eye for all things style, but is also quick and efficient, with a unique style of writing. Meet Tatiana, Hauterfly’s Fashion & Beauty Writer.

So what exactly is it that you do?

Fashion and Beauty Writer — it’s quite self-explanatory, really! I am on style stalk patrol pretty much 24×7, and if I find something I really like, I write about it.

What were you doing before this?

Besides being a little nomad and moving 2 countries in the last year, I was a Beauty Assistant at Vogue India.

How did you get started at Hauterfly?

Social media FTW! Following style pages comes with the profession, and so when I saw that Hauterfly was looking for a writer, I knew I had to jump at the chance. When an opportunity like this comes knocking, you NEVER EVER shoo it away!

What’s the favourite part about your job?

Besides being paid to do what I love — there are so many faves! From how amazing and chilled out the workplace is to how crazy my team can get…oh, and how can I forget the Friday evening hangouts we have on the terrace? The best part? You’re treated like an adult! I have said goodbye to Monday morning blues and work definitely doesn’t feel like a major task to complete!

And the least favourite?
My Crazy Cat Lady coffee mug being used by someone else — if you’re reading this, I don’t know who you are yet, but I will find you!

What do you want to be when you grow up?
#FigureSkater — since I watched Ice Princess, that’s all I’ve wanted to do! Twirls on tarmac don’t work as well, unfortunately.

What’s the one piece of advice you’d give someone who wants a job like yours?
In the words of Cristina Yang, “If you want crappy things to stop happening to you, then stop accepting crap and demand something more”.

Tell us something weird about you!
I have an issue of randomly breaking into a mini-dance-routine when I am put in a super awkward situation. If I am randomly doing the robot, know that I am an awkward turtle ATM.
