Deepika, Shah Rukh And John In ‘Pathaan’ Make YRF Spy Universe Look Sexy And Fab!
Pathaan is here to kill us with 'em looks!
The much-awaited trailer of YRF’s Pathaan is finally on our screens, and my ovaries have officially exploded. Thanks to Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, the trailer not only escalates our excitement for the release but also makes this new era in the cinematic presence of the YRF Spy universe look sexier than ever.
The trailer features the trio in unique avatars and some badass looks. While Khan is finally seen sporting his long tresses, Padukone changes multiple looks, like a queen, and John plays the sexy antagonist, which we can’t help but also fall for. Seasoned with power-packed performances, rifles, drama, and fight sequences in the snow, every actor plays an imperative role in the two minutes thirty-five seconds long trailer.
With costumes designed by Padukone’s long-time stylist Shaleena Nathani, alongside Mamta Anand, and Niharika Jolly, we spotted some sporty chic catsuits on the actress, exciting hairdos, bold makeup, and statement earrings. Whereas the leading men picked pale colours, and shades of grey and displayed a contrast in their looks through the lengths of their hair. What excites me the most is watching Padukone experimenting with stunts, blonde hair and playing the role of a soldier, which adds another feather to her already decorated hat.

With immense screen time, Padukone fights the goons in sarongs, and statement earrings, as she also romances Shah Rukh Khan in already-hit songs like–“Besharam Rang,” and “Jhoome Jo Pathaan.” Besides the leading lady, Shah Rukh Khan reveals his eight-pack abs, bronzed body, and long hair, as he paints his face with blood, and uff that beard. Fans also compared his character in the film with his role in Main Hoon Na, where he plays a soldier, and oh boy, it is on point.

What makes Abraham an equally desirable antagonist is his more neat way of dressing, unlike Pathaan. He wears turtlenecks, sports tattoos, and scoops out some shirtless scenes that remind us of Dostana. Abraham, again plays the man, as Bollywood has always known him. The muscle guy, who smirks and has women simping over his looks. Some fight sequences between the two leading men, feature them in sporty accessories and fitted suits, that match the biker aesthetic.
What we love about this new spy era in the YRF universe is how it allows its leading male and female characters to take that plunge, and giving us those sexy characters on the big screen.

As soon as the trailer dropped at 11 am today, Twitter couldn’t help but talk about the smallest detail in it. The overall aesthetic of the film reminded many of YRF’s previous action hit–War and other action packed films like Ek Tha Tiger.

Through, style, action, and tons of drama, the YRF Spy Universe is tweaking the way we see women in films. And thanks to both Katrina Kaif in Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, and now Deepika Padukone in Pathaan, we now see the changing role of a damsel in distress to killing the goons herself. We love the girls holding guns, and equally looking their sexy best through song and action sequences in this brand new universe. This also reminds us of Aishwarya Rai’s character in the film that was a game changer in the streak of YRF films, in Dhoom 2. This new universe is also an exciting, and much-awaited twist in the history of Bollywood which has always seen women through the male gaze.

In terms of even style, there is a massive love for sporty chic, and killer hairdos, with leading men like Hrithik Roshan embracing his salt and pepper look, and making a sexy statement in War.
And not only is the universe ticks all the points of being a blockbuster entertainer but adds a refreshing change in the portrayal of both male and female characters on the big screen. With Pathaan, and more projects lined up in this universe, we can only expect the best.
