Uorfi Javed Does What Bollywood Girls Never Could As Cover Star For This Magazine Shoot

Actress Uorfi Javed, popularly known as the DIY Fashion Princess, has been making quite a buzz on the internet. From strutting on the streets of Mumbai in her borderline bold outfits to schooling men, who tutor her the “correct way of dressing,” the actress has changed India’s fashion scene with a wardrobe that was responsible for a culture reset. In consecutively two new projects, the actress is finally getting the due of her genius style skills, through collaborations with some of the biggest designers in the country.

Previously posing in a custom, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree, Uorfi broke the internet with her cover shoot for Dirty Magazine. Styled by thee Anaita Shroff Adajania, Uorfi bleached her brows and dyed her hair pink as the cover star of the magazine. The same name, who put Ranveer on the front page, sans clothes and his much-talked-about but. The actress styled by Shroff, wore a custom-made gown, embellished with fabric stickers that said–Dirty. She posed against a backdrop, with a security guard watching her from behind. This reimagined scene from her regular outings and paparazzi interactions was an elevated stylish version of her wardrobe.

As mentioned by the magazine, putting Javed on the cover was like a big celebration of her mind, which weaved her unique style, and curated looks, when designers refused to lend her any. Anaita also shared the cover on her Instagram handle and mentioned–”I’ve long admired her love for fashion and tenacity to follow her passion. It broke my heart when designers refused to dress her, but undeterred she set up her own workshop and created her interpretations daily!” She also shared that she once told Javed that this day would come, and as the magazine cover star, she wears six unique designer looks, custom created just for her.

In pictures, and some behind the scene clips shared by Javed, she gives her fans a peek into her transformation for the shoot, which pushed her to bleach her eyebrows and colour her tresses pink. What surprised me most was another look on Javed that was dropped by the team behind the shoot. One of the six designer pieces that Javed wore for the shoot, was this half-open catsuit, created especially by Bloni Atelier. Speaking about her personal style in volumes, Javed posed with her hair covering her face, a see-through catsuit, styled with lingerie and boots. Reacting to the new pictures, the internet hailed the team behind her new look. Some others also applauded Uorfi for the feat and said–”Finally you’re there.”

Prior to the release of the shoot, Javed also made a public appearance in a cool bralette that was cut and tailored in the shape of the magazine’s logo and said–Dirty in pink and blue. She completed the look with a pair of sheen trousers, hoop earrings, bleached brows and pigtails. Well, that’s something.
