Uorfi Javed Slams Aditya Chopra’s Remark On Being Unable To Make Uday A Star, Says Nepotism Got Him Work
Uorfi is unapologetic about her opinions as always!
The nepotism debate in the Hindi film industry that will be going on jab tak suraj chaand rahega, and this is a fact. There will be opinions by the audience on social media, and there will be stands taken by those in the industry as well. And the latest celebrity to make a comment on nepotism is Uorfi Javed! She is clearly miffed by the statement made by Aditya Chopra about his brother Uday Chopra in the recently released documentary on Bollywood titled, The Romantics! She took to her Instagram story to write a lengthy note about how Uday got several chances to prove himself which an outsider would never have gotten!

Uorfi Javed shared a post that quoted Aditya Chopra talking about how he could not make his brother Uday Chopra a star. She reacted to this statement by writing that she is irritated by the ‘sheer ignorance’ in Aditya’s statement. Uorfi, then, went on to write that nepotism is not about success but rather about the opportunities one gets. She wrote that Uday was neither a good-looking actor nor were his films a hit at the box office, and despite that, he kept getting acting opportunities just because he was the son of Yash Chopra.
Uorfi also highlighted that if it had been an outsider with the name Uday Chauhan, and not Uday Chopra, Aditya Chopra’s brother, he would never get as many movies after one flop film. She also called out those who were supporting nepotism by this logic.

Well, certainly Uorfi Javed made a strong point. She has talked about how the struggles of a relative of someone from the industry become nearly zero because of their “connections”. This is not possible for those who make their mark in the industry all on their own. Well, everyone has different opinions on this, and Uorfi unapologetically presented hers!
