Zendaya, Florence Pugh And More Arrived To Unbox The Latest Ready-To-Wear Collection By Valentino
Italian luxury fashion house–Valentino has had a green fashion report card, since the presentation of its immensely popular Pink PP collection. Revisiting the Barbie colour and moulding it for its audiences, the Italian luxury giant has made the colour, the stand-out shade of the year, already. And returning with the showcase of its Spring 2023 ready-to-wear range, Valentino resorted to a mix of bold and muted colours. Trickling down from Fuschia to pale beige, Valentino describes its shift and newly found affection for the mundane, in his latest approach to trends. Imagine cape gowns, monogrammed sheaths and glitter skirts but in black, the drama persists sans flavourful shades. For the upcoming season of 2023, creative director–Pierpaolo Piccioli, is statistically making the shift from standout dopamine dressing to the beauty of camouflage. The change was evident, when models paraded on the runway, with their faces branded with Valentino’s iconic V, and an array of burnt browns, muted prints, and second skin-like silhouettes.

To watch the label’s latest experiments with its ready-to-wear line, celebrities gathered in a piece from the collection, which surprisingly wasn’t bright pink. Joining the sea of stars, taking the front row were actresses from Zendaya, Simone Ashley, Ashley Park, Florence Pugh and more. The stars headlined a combination of the Pink PP collection and Unboxing Valentino designs to watch the Italian label present its latest line. Let’s take a look at who wore what.

Zendaya
I clearly remember the last time Zendaya walked the red carpet for Valentino, as the label’s face for the Pink PP collection. Besides filling the massive billboards in pink, the Euphoria star painted herself in the shade to watch the previous collection showcase. And today, as she arrived for the latest presentation, titled–Unboxing Valentino, she leaned more towards bold black. On Zendaya, we saw a piece from the new RTW range, as she slid into a sheer monogrammed bodysuit. She built the look using a pair of black shorts, an oversized blazer with an overlay of Valentino’s branding in sequins, and a pair of pointed heels, that sat beneath the netted bodysuit. She further accessorised the look using chandelier earrings in black and picked a shade of berry red to paint her lips.

Florence Pugh
Actress Florence Pugh was another star guest at the Valentino showcase. Unlike Zendaya, the Don’t Worry Darling star picked a citrus pink and white to dress up for the showcase. On Pugh, we spotted a chain-lock, printed, turtle neck dress, that was layered under a plain wool, cape jacket. Wearing the glamour through statement print design, Pugh greeted her fellow fraternity friends, with hair let loose, stylised hoop earrings, her signature septum ring and lips painted with pink.

Simone Ashley
Actress Simone Ashley, headlined the most daring look of the evening in a sheer dress. The see-through number in white presented a layer of tonal embroidery, coupled with intricate threadwork and bordered with lace ruffles. The Bridgeton 2 star built a monochrome look, with a sequinned black jacket placed on her shoulders. For hair, Ashley sealed her tresses into a romantic hair bun and slid into tie-up heels to complete the look.

Ashley Park
The Emily In Paris star displayed a version of her well-dressed onscreen character–Mindy, as she arrived for Valentino. Ashley sported a sultry met formal look, using an extremely cropped shirt, that put her washboard abs on display. Paired with the white shirt, was a fitted black skirt. She further packaged the look using, black suspenders and a suitcase bag. For hair, Ashley styled her tresses into a curly bun and wore a diamond neckpiece to seal the look.

Dove Cameron
Dove Cameron brought another show-stopping look to the evening. The star arrived in a sparkle-laden, oversized pantsuit in pale gold. The structured set came layered over a georgette off-white shirt, headlined by pussy bow and exaggerated sleeves. What stole the spotlight, was Dove’s experiment with a brightly lit, pink face accent, coupled with a fierce eye look. She further sealed her hair into an asymmetrically parted ponytail.

Naomi Campbell
Supermodel Naomi Campbell posed alongside Zendaya in a monochromatic look. Wearing an ensemble from the Italian fashion house’s latest collection, Campbell appeared in an oversized black blazer teamed with a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of oversized pants. Amongst the interesting elements in her look, we spotted a feather lapel stitched to one side, and vintage sunglasses in white, serving nostalgia.
