Twitter User Suggests Waiting A Month Before Shopping An Outfit You Like, For Better Style. Does This Work?
Do we agree?

Most of us share a very unusual bond with our clothes. While some depend on their wardrobes to impact their moods, some others really find it hard to catch up with the ongoing trends, but this Twitter user suggests doing a whole damn tapasya before buying clothes. A Twitter user named Kendall Lee has an interesting take on her relationship with clothes.
In a Twitter thread, Lee mentions testing your cravings for fashion trends before clicking the shop button. According to her, we should wait out for weeks or months before actually buying a piece of clothing to find a deeper connection with our personal style. Citing a personal example, Lee mentioned how she once waited very long to buy a pair of leggings, and soon found it hanging at a departmental store at a much cheaper price.
One of the best/easiest things you can do for your personal style is to simply wait to buy things. You see something you like? Wait a few weeks/months before buying & if you still really want it, then great buy it! You’ll form a much deeper connection to yourself & style that way

According to her, this practise not only helped her shop wisely but also acted as a bonus, because she actually bought them at a discounted price. Voila! Not only does this help cut down on your obsession with impulsive shopping, but is also a sustainable habit to follow.
Personal anecdote: there’s this pair of all saints leggings i saw when I was a sophomore in hs 10 years ago. I wanted them so badly (literally just for like around the house) but didn’t get them bc they were expensive and I didn’t really ever wear lounge wear anyways 1/2

Reacting to her opinion, many users seemed to disagree saying it isn’t really something that will always work out. While a few agreed to Lee, some others mentioned that this practise isn’t a really great formula while shopping.

People say this, but I have done this my whole life and what ends up happening is the thing that I wanted goes out of stock and never comes back again and then I spend heinous amounts of time on eBay https://t.co/8oosP4vpEd

Adding to the latter group, many also mentioned that its mostly mostly hard luck, because you don’t always find those exclusive designs or trends coming back to the racks. And personally, I believe this practise is close to thrifting, which is sadly not a luxury for people who don’t fit in the brackets of standard sizes. If not inclusive, then what?
