From Andrew Garfield And Ariana DeBose To Vanessa Hudgens, Stars Trusted The Colour Black And A Sequin Spin For Tony Awards’22

By  |

Last night was indeed a special one for Hollywood stars, as they arrived for the 75th annual Tony Awards. Hosted by West Side Story actress Ariana DeBose, the award show welcomed stars, who arrived in their glimmering best. From our favourite main man Andrew Garfield to Jessica Chastain and Vanessa Hudgens, celebrities made sure to leave behind a stylish mark on the scintillating carpet. Let’s take a look at our favourite, best-dressed celebs.

Ariana DeBose

Starting with the host herself, Ariana arrived in a sequin ensemble from clothing brand–Boss. The custom attire featured a stand-out cut in the centre, resting alongside another one, shaped through the thigh-high slit. The West Side Story actress further teamed the look with barely-seen earrings and styled her bob into her signature look. We definitely like the multi-cut approach given to the usual sequins, but a little experiment wouldn’t have hurt no one.

Andrew Garfield

Stealing hearts all the way, Mr Garfield made an appearance in designer label– Tom Ford. For the big night, Andrew opted for a velvet, double-breasted blazer, matched with a charcoal shirt and pants. He further sealed the look with a velvet bow tie. Considering Andrew’s latest love for coloured suits, the colour black seemed like a no-brainer option for the award show, and we’d love to see more colour on him.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain aimed for a look, closer to a sea princess, with the sheen of satin ruling the ensemble. For the awards evening, Jessica trusted the magic of Gucci and came dressed  in an off-shoulder, corset-esqué gown. The free-flowing number took the draped approach, with some fabric gracing the floor like a mini-trail. She further styled the look with delicate earrings and sealed her golden-brown hair into soft curls. We think this look is a ten-on-ten.

Vanessa Hudgens

We think Vanessa Hudgens has now mastered the art of red carpet dressing, and no it is not all about styling those ballroom gowns. Giving her spin to formal wear, Vanessa came dressed in one of our most favourite labels–Schiaparelli. For Tonys this year, Vanessa opted for a piece from the label’s couture collection. The form-fitting charcoal number, featured variations of the colour black, with chandelier-like folds adding more volume to the straight silhouette. She further teamed the look with statement gold earrings and a bracelet from the same label and tied her hair into a neat, ponytail braid. This has to be our favourite look from the evening.

Utkarsh Ambudkar

Actor Utkarsh Ambudkar gave a fun spin to the usual navi tuxedo, as he arrived in a striking number by the label– Bode. Trusting the quirky embroidery and floral embellishments running throughout the blazer and pants, Utkarsh styled the look with a white mesh shirt and matching bow tie. The ivory buttons on the blazer surely stood out for us and we think this ensemble is a perfect ten-on-ten.

Colman Domingo

Our favourite, Ali from Euphoria aka Colman Domingo, was another well-dressed star from the special evening. Skipping the usual black, Colman arrived in a powder blue pantsuit. The shade indeed was like a breath of fresh air in the list of sequins and black bow-ties. The formal wear featured a shirt, double-breasted blazer and loose-fitted pants, all in the same shade. Colman further styled the look, with a pair of tinted sunglasses and jewellery by David Yurman.

Uzo Aduba

Actress Uzo Aduba was another well-styled member in the guest list at the Tony Awards. Dressed in label–Cong Tri, Uzo’s gold look featured a pleated, a-line gown with a slit and two-fold statement off-shoulder sleeves of the same shade. She further styled the look with a pair of delicate earrings and metallic bronze pump heels.

Sarah Paulson

Actress Sarah Paulson was big on experiments for the special evening. The Ratched actress arrived in label–Moschino’s multi-coloured, spot-printed attire. Going all out, Sarah’s attire featured a massive fabric bulge below the waist, with delicate padded sleeves. Sarah completed the look with a signature red lipstick and stayed away from accessorising, ‘cos that attire is worth all the attention.
