From Student Of The Year To Diwali, Every Time Groom-To-Be Sidharth Malhotra Aced Ethnic Looks

When Bollywood’s biggest celebrity couples decide to tie the knot, the excitement is bound to reach the sky. Well, love is truly in the air, and the internet is buzzing with joy since the wedding details of actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have made it to the news headlines. The Shershaah co-stars have been in the news for quite some time, as they take a flight to Maldivian vacation and dodge the paparazzi while entering each other’s homes. And what can be more delightful for their fans than to know they are soon to tie the knot. Right? If we are to believe reports, the celebrity couple is gearing up for a grand Indian wedding in Jaisalmer, this coming weekend. And as much as we’re excited to see their mandap pictures, we cannot wait to know the designers they have chosen for the special day.

Hence, as we gear up to watch more updates from their wedding, let’s take a look at the many lovely pictures of Sidharth Malhotra in Indian ethnic wear, to know how our Mission Majnu star would look as a groom.

Man In A Bandhgala

For every Indian man, a bandhgala is a no-brainer choice for festivities. Be it Diwali or a wedding at home, men can ace occasion dressing in this classic neckline. Found in embroidered vests, jackets and sherwanis, Bollywood’s most handsome men also trust this silhouette for special events. And actor Sidharth Malhotra is no different. A perfect style to compliment his tall neck and athletic form, Malhotra’s traditional closet is filled with bandhgalas in a variety of colours and designs.

Killer Kurtas

The actor’s wardrobe filled with kurtas explains his love for striking colours. In his ethnic wardrobe, we found a gamut of traditional embroideries, tonal handwork and statement necklines that define his ethnic look for every special occasion. One of the many lovely pieces in his wardrobe come from the atelier of designer friend Manish Malhotra, who is known to dress the best of Bollywood celebrities. Will this Malhotra be a Manish Malhotra groom?

The Dapper Student

If you ask us, we absolutely fell for the actor since his debut film–Student Of The Year in 2012. The Karan Johar directorial about love, competition and shaadis was like any other Dharma film, giving us fashion inspiration through the lead actors. In the 2012 film, debutants Sidharth, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were not only the students of Karan Johar’s swanky dream school but also the most well-dressed ones. In the case of Malhotra, we saw him wear a variety of anti-fit, oversized kurtas, expressing the charm of sequin embroideries. In some others, he experimented with a sunny yellow plane kurta and a sleek bandhgala for his romantic scene with Alia Bhatt and her lost jhumkas.

The Sherwani

Besides picking a tall stack of colourful kurtas, the actor often picks a stylish sherwani to churn out an ethnic look. His taste in traditional Indian silhouettes is mixed with trendy hemlines and fitted trousers that make an impressive sherwani look. And if we talk about a suitable groom sherwani, his Coca-Cola advertisement with SOTY co-star Alia Bhatt is the only picture that takes over our mind.
