And no wonder the world witnessed a happy surprise yesterday when Rihanna debuted her baby bump in a string of images while walking on the streets of New York city with partner A$AP Rocky. Certainly a piece of news we didn’t expect, the 33-year-old pop star also made it sure to slip into her iconic style while doing that. Dressed in a sexy pink quilted Chanel coat, designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1996, the shade pink to many indicated a sign of gender reveal. Speculating which some Twitter users wrote, “Rihanna was wearing a pink coat. I guess she’s having a girl,” and “Why do I feel like that pink coat indicates that she’s having a mini her, just tell us you’re having a girl RiRi,” (do you mean there’s a baby girl on the way, Ri?). Talking further about the look, she added some more statement to the head-turning ensemble, and accessorised with LACROIX brooch. Her neck stack also featured an embellished cross in gold, a heavily beaded string which she teamed with a low-rise, semi-distressed denim jeans and a double-strand Chanel belt. Flaunting her baby bump with an unbuttoned oversized fit, this celeb pregnancy announcement stood apart from the rest.

For the unversed, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, reportedly, started dating after the singer broke up with her boyfriend of three years, billionaire Hassan Jameel, in January 2020. In fact, in November 2020, there were several rumours and speculations about Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s relationship status but the lovebirds did not comment on it until May of 2021. It was during an interview with GQ that A$AP Rocky opened up about his relationship with the singer and called her the ‘love of his life’. He also called her ‘my lady’ and shared that she is ‘the one’ for him. He also spoke about his desire to start a family with Rihanna and shared that he believes that he would be ‘an incredible, remarkably overall amazing dad’.
