The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations have been doing the rounds on the internet. From the decorated streets to the Royal family’s regal sartorial choices, the world is excited to witness every little detail of the big celebration. And adding more glory to it, British stars arrived in the most stylish andaaz to join the Platinum Jubilee pageant that took place this past weekend. Headlined by supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, stars like Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor, model Erin O’Connor, and British Makeup artist and beauty brand owner–Charlotte Tilbury danced in unison, as they took a seat on a double-decker bus representing each 10-year period of the Queen’s reign.
While everyone seemed to have caught our attention, Kate’s Union Jack blazer won above all. Kate’s ensemble for the big parade incorporated a black satin slip dress, layered under designer John Galliano’s Union Jack blazer. A piece dug out from the past, the flag coloured jacket was pulled out from the archives of the designer’s 1993 collection. The very collection that Kate Moss modelled for the first time back in the day, the design represented the collection that paid tribute to British fashion history. Giving her own spin to the look, Moss further accessorised it with chunky neckpieces, flower and crystal barrettes and a sexy red pair of Vivienne Westwood stilettos.
Posing alongside, Kate, Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor was dressed to perfection. For the big parade, Phoebe opted for a polka dot, wrap dress by designer label–Alessandra Rich and completed her look with statement black sunglasses, matching tie-up heels and a top knot.
Apart from Kate, supermodel Naomi Campbell too marked her attendance in a strapless beige dress. Naomi trusted luxury fashion house–Burberry and chose to wear the label’s signature beige dress, adorned with buttons and an open-ruffle detail. She further completed the look with a mint-green locket chain and a thin arm shawl.
On Sunday, June 5, 2022, the streets of central London were filled with colourful parades by the military, motorcyclists riding vintage bikes, a special performance by Ed Sheeran and celebrities waving from a double-decker bus.
