Priyanka Chopra’s Visit To India Served More Fashion Than Bollywood In This Entire Year
Actress and global star–Priyanka Chopra surprised her fans with her latest visit to India. Chopra flew down to her motherland, after almost four years, for the launch of her haircare brand–Anomaly. Besides updating her Instagram family about her daily work routine, and brief snack breaks, the actress served style like no other. Every that time Chopra stepped out to promote her business baby, she slid into the best of designer collections and introduced us to some interesting jewellery options. What we loved about Chopra’s sartorial genius was her sheer confidence, packed with trends, and the right kind of silhouettes. Something, we hadn’t seen this entire year, at least in Bollywood.

For stars today, fashion is close to cloning. This behaviour of extending multiple replicas of a look is what Bollywood has reduced itself to. Celebrities, promotions, and dazzling Bollywood parties are the one-stop stage to present their closets. Besides a handful of these occasions, celebrities seem to never experiment. But with PC, it is never the case. The star who found every camera’s unbiased attention, from her airport arrival till her final departure to Lucknow, made sure to impress with her style. Even when off-duty, the actress picked up the most interesting pieces to shine above all. Hence, we are revisiting Chopra’s brief work trip to India, in terms of sass, and style.
The Denim Suit
For the most part of her work trip, the actress was styled by celebrity stylist–Maeve Reilly. And with a love for power dressing, Chopra was seen sliding in multiple versions of crisp pants, and boss blazers for launch events and fan interactions. In one of her first picks, Chopra’s three-piece set in indigo denim by designer–Ronny Kobo, was as show-stopping, as her persona. A part of the actress’ ensemble, was a deep v-neck bralette, teamed with a boxy blazer, and high-waisted straight pants. For this look, Chopra tonged her long luscious hair and slid into white platform heels.

The New-Age Jewels
A style tip that caught the internet’s attention was the actress’ new-age accessory format. Again styled by Maeve Reilly, Chopra introduced us to the daring trend of underbust gems, as she styled one during her trip to India. As a part of the ensemble, the underbust jewellery was styled using a front key-hole crop top, and wide-legged pants by label–Peggy Hartanto. Soon, Chopra’s taste in accessories found a spot in news headlines and in conversations between fashion nerds. Besides the all-white look, Priyanka had her fans obsessed with her partially, blonde curls.

Candy Orange
Another of our favourite looks on Priyanka was brought to reality by this candy-coloured, orange dress. For a special meeting with Nykaa CEO–Falguni Nayar, PC chose to wear a leather midi dress in tangerine. The glossy silhouette, featured a flared skirt detail, originating from the waist, a plunging neckline, and a statement belt resting in the centre. PC packed the look using a matching pair of orange heels, and her long tresses resting on the sides.

Powerful-Packed Flowers
Channelling flower power, was Priyanka’s style collaboration with her India-based stylist–Ami Patel. For a special event, the actress picked up a powerful suit set by designer–Rahul Mishra. The statement, signature design by Mishra featured an intricate overlay of 3D hand-embroidered flowers. The multi-media floral suit in black and gold was further styled by PC using a micro bag by Outhouse jewellery.

What we loved about the actress’ kitty of clothes for her visit to India, is the delicious variety of silhouettes, colours, and a still lingering sense of originality, which is a missing aspect in many celebrity-looks today. For stars, the idea of holding their personal style alive is a task many hate to undertake. For Chopra, the need to marinate trends with an ability to keep her personal take on them intact is an interesting marriage for most of us to watch.
