Priyanka Chopra Gives Chikankari A Powerful Upgrade At UNICEF Meet In Lucknow

Actress Priyanka Chopra’s latest trip to India was proof of her love for power dressing. For special events, and UNICEF meetings in Lucknow, the actress brought her fashion A-game. For her Lucknow visit, Priyanka slid into the city’s famous chikankari embroidery and coupled it with understated glam.

Unlike her usual idea of power dressing, Chopra exchanged bright colours for a muted shade of ice blue. Designed by Anjula Bhandari, Priyanka’s three-piece pantsuit was a marvellous take on this traditional embroidery. A part of the ensemble was a pair of fitted pants, that featured multimedia chikankari embroidery. Teamed with the pants, was a long blazer, that presented the embroidery in its classic form. Priyanka combined the two with a tiny, textured top. Weaving an understated glam to her ensemble were signature Annual Bhandari monogrammed meenakari buttons in dull gold.

Chopra dressed her hair into her current-favourite curls and picked up a pair of open-toe heels in white. As styled by Ami Patel, Priyanka decided to go minimal with her makeup look. During her trip to Lucknow, Priyanka wore an array of chikankari designs, in its classic traditional format, but this pantsuit is definitely a unique twist to India’s beloved handloom.
Throughout her time in India, Priyanka experimented with a wide variety of silhouettes, and colour options, as guided by her stylists–Ami Patel, and Maeve Reilly. Besides keeping her personal style intact, Chopra introduced her fans to some interesting jewellery trends, hairstyles, and a sassy way of experimenting with power suits.
