Fashion designer/actor–Masaba Gupta just made a brand new announcement about her personal life and we’re so happy for her. In the new post shared on her Instagram handle, the designer shared about her intimate wedding to actor–Satyadeep Misra. As dreamy as the pictures look on her Instagram grid, Gupta’s intimate court marriage, as reported by Vogue India, was a special affair for the couple. In attendance were close friends and family members, including Gupta’s mother–Neena, who posed with the bride.

Dressed in a piece from her own label was bride Masaba Gupta, who weaved a whimsical look for the special morning. For the intimate affair, the actress picked a rose pink lehenga from her own label, featuring statement leaf motifs in gold Zardozi. She further teamed the skirt with a matching choli, and a two-toned dupatta, in pistachio green and dreamy gulabi. For jewellery, Gupta chose a two-layer neckpiece and teamed it with a fabulous haathphool of the matching shade. The interesting addition to her look was a set of quirky barrettes, taking the shape of a sun and moon. For the same, the designer/actor loaned inspiration from South Indian headgears, that are often used to decorate a bride’s hair during wedding. The heavily embellished look on Gupta was in contrast with her groom–Satyadeep’s look for the special morning.

In a well-detailed caption, Gupta, explained the meaning behind a two-toned bridal look that seeks inspiration from Indian painter–Manjit Bawa’s artwork, which also plays a backdrop to her pictures. In words, Masaba explains the incorporation of a heavy border in her look, that features–”The first ever Masaba Motif–the palm and the chidiya which celebrates the union of tradition & freedom.”

The actor, chose a simple, two-layer kurta, featuring a classic bandhgala. For the intimate ceremony, the actor made a handsome groom in a sorbet-hued attire featuring dainty floral accents, that ran throughout his look and matched Masaba’s lehenga in colours.

Masaba Gupta met the actor on the sets of her Netflix special–Masaba Masaba‘s first season and soon started dating. The designer/actor was earlier married to Indian film producer–Madhu Mantena, but the duo later parted ways in the year 2019.
