Kim Kardashian Now Owns Princess Diana’s Iconic Attallah Cross Pendant. Whoa, It Costs A LOT!

Kim Kardashian seems to be on a shopping spree. And the location is nowhere but in the closets of the world’s most iconic and admired women. Yes, the beauty mogul recently went shopping and added Princess Diana’s vintage Attallah Cross pendant to her cart. The piece is one of the most cherished designs in the late princess’ jewellery treasure. Designed in the year 1920 by luxury jewellery designer Garrard, the pendant features a bejewelled cross design with a pearl string in place.

While it is extremely rare for pieces owned by the late princess to come down for auction, something as special as the pendant was acquired and sold by Sotheby’s royal sale, which returns every year. Sources also say that the princess was the only owner of the design, which soon vanished after her demise. The last time anyone saw the her wearing the pendant was at the Birthrights charity ball in 1987. The 5.25 carats worth design was originally owned by businessman Naim Attallah, who many times loaned it to the princess for special occasions.

And bringing it to her closet, Kim Kardashian bought it for £163,800 (approx. 1.6 crores). Yes, that’s right! The reality tv star bought the pendant from Sotheby’s Royal and Noble sale on Wednesday. This favourite piece from princess Diana’s iconic public looks is now a member of the Kardashians, with Kim is hoping to style it soon.

Well, this isn’t the first time that Kim has showcased her interest in the closets of iconic women. She previously wore late Marilyn Monroe’s iconic gown to the Met Gala in 2022. Despite receiving hate for her comments on “reducing weight to fit into the dress,” and being accused of probably ruining it, Kardashian had every eyeball on her. In videos making a buzz on the internet, Ripley’s Believe It or Not also gifted a supposed lock from Marilyn Monroe’s hair to Kim, as she arrived to dress up in the vintage dress for Met Gala.
