Katrina Kaif And Vicky Kaushal Are A Vision In Sabyasachi As They Tie The Knot! How’s The Josh? Haaye, Sir!

IT IS FINALLY HERE! The most awaited shaadi of the year has finally taken place. After months of speculation, the official images are right on our screens and I can’t help but scream in joy. Vicky and Katrina, we’re in awe of these pictures. Donning a beautiful combination of white and red, sprinkled with gold in abundance, the couple looks oh-so-gorg in the classic Sabyasachi wedding wear.

A true-blue Sabysachi bride and groom, just like celebrities Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, the couple picked the designer for their D-Day.

Katrina Kaif is wearing a beautiful red lehenga in handwoven matka silk embellished with fine tilla embroidery all across the skirt,  with a thick zardozi border mixed with gotta patti all in velvet around the dupatta. An interesting addition to the veil is the golden fringe known as Kiran in hand-beaten silver and gold, which is an ode to the groom’s Punjabi roots. Striking an uncanny resemblance to Deepika Padukone’s Sabyasachi wedding ensemble, with a few details inspired from Anushka Sharma’s whimsical wedding dress. Katrina accessorised the entire look with a gold statement matha patti,  a huge nose ring, classic red chooda,  chunky gold bangles with a massive pair of kaleera and a beautiful white gajra gracing the big bun. Keeping the makeup simple with a must mention of the red bindi(which is quite the Katy way of styling ethnic wear). The gold jhumkaas and neckpiece with uncut diamonds in 22k gold detail with hand strung pearls from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery too reminded us of Anushka Sharma’s wedding  jewellery curated by the designer. Ms Kaushal went for a regal brocade blouse in combination of red and gold, the overall look styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania was royal, simple and elegant. (quite teary-eyed looking at all of it)

Talking about the groom, Mr Kaushal went in for an all white ivory and gold theme to match his bride dolled up in red. The ivory silk sherwani comes with minimal and intricate marori embroidery all around the hand cuffs, handcrafted with gold plated Royal Bengal Tiger buttons throughout. The white shawl in tussar georgette with zari embroidered pallu completes the ensemble.  While the gold Benarasi silk turban tied around the head in the same shade, is sealed with a bold green and red kalgi. Accessorising the entire look the actor opted for a multi-layered heavily beaded emerald neck piece, with cut rose diamonds, quartz and tourmalines in 18k gold, quite the perfect shade to complement the whites.  Full marks to the dulha for the colour choice.  I am loving this Sabyasachi groom TBH!!!
