Last night, celebrities displayed the best of their closets on the red carpet, for Elle Beauty Awards. From romantic tulle to mermaid scales, stars including Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and more gathered under one roof for the awards night. In attendance were also some of the best lessons in styles, delivered by our beloved stars. Excellent, and experimental, headlined every look, that caught our attention. Hence, we have rounded up a list of our favourite, well-dressed guests.

Janhvi Kapoor

Playing to the fantasies of a dreamy Disney princess, was actress Janhvi Kapoor. The star walked the red carpet in a coral blue gown. The long-trailing, semi-fish cut number was a custom-made piece by label–Falguni Shane and Peacock. The tonal-sequin embroidery garnished the silhouette well and was styled using 2022’s most-favourite accessory, the opera gloves. Balancing the ensemble, Kapoor stayed away from statement jewellery, and let her hair loose.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika delivered a much-needed Carrie Bradshaw moment, that we seem to be a little too obsessed with. In pictures, we spotted the star in a white silhouette, that described a smart mix of blazer lapels and a dreamy tulle. Reminding us of Padukone’s two different personality types, the edgy blazer, and frill skirt came from the shelves of Giambattista Valli Couture. Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Padukone decided to braid her hair, and selected a pair of diamond earrings.

Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon is officially in her most stylish era, and her pick for the evening proved it right. The star’s edgy, front-cut-out gown was a masterpiece. Designed by label–Gavin Miguel, Sanon’s midnight-blue silhouette was a fiery sartorial choice. The bareback, front-collared, satin number was further styled using diamond accessories, gelled-up hair, and kohl-laden eyes. We totes love this look.

Sobhita Dhulipala

Actress Sobhita Dhulipala won full marks in style, again. Exchanging voluminous gowns with a modern-day version of a saree, was Dhulipala’s approach to red-carpet dressing. The actress chose to wear a deep blue, handwoven silk dot blazer saree, with puffed heels in the same shade. The statement blue was accompanied by a neat hair bun and Sobhita’s love for berry lips.

Rakulpreet

Actress Rakulpreet too made a sassy sartorial choice in a black, strapless dress. The black corseted silhouette by label Alex Perry featured a lazy drape in the front and a thigh-high slit. Styling the classic black, Rakul picked up a pair of dazzling fringe earrings and slid into a pair of glitter heels. The actress dressed her short tresses into curls and chose to go easy with her face makeup.

Masaba Gupta

Another guest in black was designer–Masaba Gupta, who settled for a slim-fitting black gown. The designer chose to take the classic route with her choice of silhouette, and shade but made sure to accessorise. What we loved about Masaba’a ensemble were the studded, cross-sign earrings in white and her idea of dressing her hair into a sleek hair bun.

Sharvari Wagh

Sharvari Wagh shuffled every little piece in her closet, to attempt the oversized style. The actress walked the red carpet in a glamorous, black pantsuit which looked both edgy, and experimental. The star styled the shimmering number, sans shirt, and spent a lot of time dressing her hair bun. She further picked up some intricate accessory pieces to seal her ensemble.

Tell us your favourite look from the evening.
