Content Creator Nagma Mirajkar Marks Her Runway Debut With Designer Archana Kochhar At India Fashion Week Australia
Social media stars are the new face of fashion on the runway. And the recent appearance made by content creators Aashna Hegde, Gaurav Taneja and his wife Ritu Rathi at the New York Fashion Week, and even Masoom Minawala at the FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week, is proof of this shift in showstoppers for designers. And now, adding her name to this list on a global level is content creator Nagma Mirajkar. With an Instagram family that is close to 7.5 million, Nagma is known for her style, makeup and dance routines. Adding another feather to her hat, Nagma walked for designer Archana Kochhar at this season’s India Fashion Week Australia.
The content creator marked her runway debut at the prestigious fashion week, held at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. The runway also witnessed an arresting presentation by designer–Saisha Shinde. Talking about the show-stopping attire on Nagma, designer Archana Kochhar decided to dress her muse in red. The red ensemble featured an extensive overlay of sequin and tonal red embroidery. The set incorporated a stylised blouse with monumental sleeves, and a cutwork hemline, teamed with a red lehenga. The sleeves featured the designer’s classic cape detailing, tailor-made using sheer net fabric in the same shade.
Nagma further accessorised her look with diamond bangles, a neckpiece, and matching earrings. She also matched her curled-up tresses with the shade of her outfit. Posing next to her muse was designer Archana Kochhar, who wore a black, concept saree from her latest collection. Archana’s ruffled saree exhibited a sequin flavour, that was teamed with a matching black blouse and an ivory clutch.

At the India Fashion Week Australia, Archana presented her latest–Lé Gehna collection, which presented an amalgamation of heirloom designs, and modern-day contemporary silhouettes. The designer recently presented her Jharokha collection, at this year’s New York Fashion Week. Unlike her previous showcase, Lé Gehna was all about jewel tones, mixed with festive mauve and tonal embroideries.
