On Sunday, music legends around the globe walked the red carpet at Grammy 2023. In attendance were the biggest names from the industry. From Harry Styles to Anoushka Shankar and Cardi B, every next person who walked the red carpet made a fashion statement. For music’s biggest night, stars–Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Kim Petras and more took home the biggest honours. And while some danced the night out as nominees, almost everyone turned out to be the best-dressed guest, celebrating colours and their cultural roots at the Grammys. Let’s take a look at our favourites.

Beyoncé

Queen Beyoncé took home three Grammy awards for her biggest album of the year–Renaissance. To receive the honour, the “Move” singer trusted Gucci to dress. A part of her sparkling foil-laden outfit was a strapless dress with a lustrous bust design, teamed with an asymmetrical, ruffled skirt. The thigh-high slit featured a section of ruffles, running from the side to the floor. Teaming the look with opera gloves, Beyoncé matched the outfit with her caramel curls and trusted shoulder-grazing danglers to accessorise the look.

Harry Styles

A refreshing look on Harry was an abs-baring jumpsuit by Egonlab and not his favourite Gucci. The music star picked a Swarvoski-laden, sorbet-hued number featuring thin shoulder straps and colourful diamond embellishments. The extreme cut-out on his chest displayed his designer tattoos, and he finished off the look with a pair of glossy white boots.

Doja Cat

In her usual, monumental best, Doja Cat arrived in a latex black gown by Versace. The heavily glossy finish by the Italian atelier featured a floor-touching train, a one-shouldered neckline, and a body-hugging fit. Doja seemingly distanced herself from her new obsession with bizarre experiments and trusted a pair of glossy opera gloves in black, alongside heavy smoky face makeup. Everything from her hair and eyeliner to her jewellery came dipped in jet black, giving the dreamy Disney gown, a villain-era update.

Cardi B

The next name on our list of best-dressed favourites has to be–Cardi B. The American rapper, walked the red carpet in an electric blue gown by Indian designer–Gaurav Gupta. The signature GG couture featured a long-trailing gown displaying a monumental silhouette. The twirl shoulder fabric detailing featured a flower-like structure, covering her head and her shoulders. Cardi B, completed the look with a pair of diamond earrings and hair pulled up into a sleek ponytail.

Taylor Swift

Another guest in blue was our very own Taylor Swift who chose to go glitz and glam in a sleek two-piece coord set. The “Anti-Hero” singer wore the twinkling blue set by designer–Roberto Cavalli. The intricate tinsel detailing on her outfit matched her statement, four-diamond aligned earrings featuring aqua blue and mauve gemstones. She further pulled up her signature blonde bangs into a romantic hair bun and painted her lips red.

Anoushka Shankar

British-American sitar player–Anoushka Shankar picked a gorgeous, blooming gown by Indian designer–Rahul Mishra. Shankar’s pick for the special evening was a long-trailing silhouette, featuring signature Rahul Mishra floral patches in salmon, tangerine and rosy pink, layered over a glimmering sequin and see-through fabric. Anoushka styled the look from Paris Couture Week with a neat hair bun and dainty ear studs. The understated glam shined above all.

Annette Philip

The India-born artist from Kerala paid a delightful homage to the country in a crisp Kanjeevaram saree. Walking in the Indian silhouette was the one and only–Annette Philip, who chose a green and lustrous gold-bordered saree to walk the red carpet. Unlike many music stars who chose the usual gowns, Philip’s choice of a silk saree displayed her Indian roots and weaved a refreshing red carpet look for the 65th Grammys. The masterfully styled look was accessorised using a yellow, gold neckpiece, a statement maang tika and matching earrings. A moment!

Lizzo

Yet again, Lizzo decided to go all out with her selection of a flower-laden, tangerine design by Dolce & Gabbana. The signature Lizzo couture pick featured a two-layer gown, with a tight-fitted silhouette inside, and a flower-stitched jacket on it. The spectacular, OTT silhouette featured a tiny keyhole to let her face peek through. The cut-out monotone flowers added more grandeur to the overall look and made Lizzo one of the best-dressed guests at the Grammys.

Camila Cabello

Camila approached this red carpet with her soft-girl avatar, going out to party. Unlike the previous times that Cabello walked the biggest of red carpets in glossy, more sorbet-hued designs, this time, she weaved a monochromatic look with a more feminine appeal to it. The Patricia Bonaldi silhouette featured a pearl-coloured bust detailing with crafted floral patches used to cover the nipples. The delicate bodice detailing was attached to a high-waist skirt with a simple thigh-high waist and her hair let loose.

Sam Smith And Kim Petras

Sam Smith and his entourage walked the red carpet in striking red attires. The “Unholy” singer built a marvellous red carpet moment alongside Kim Petras. The latter, not only made history by becoming the first trans woman to win a grammy last night but also made an impressive sartorial choice with her bridal-inspired Vintage Victor Costa dress and sheer veil in matching red. Alongside Kim, Sam and his background dancers walked in custom Valentino attires in red and posed for the cameras.

Jennifer Lopez

Our beloved JLo was another guest in Gucci as she walked the red carpet with her husband–Ben Affleck. The “Dance Again” singer was a vision in a gemstone-blue gown with tons of crystal strings dripping from her neckline to her toes. Her sexy silhouette with a thigh-high slit featured a massive frill detailing on one side and a sleek cut on the other, which followed her as she walked towards the stage. Adding to the crystal embroidery was her layered serpent neckpiece in sparkling diamonds.

Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox

The ultra-stylish celebrity couple arrived for the 65th Grammys in yet another matching ensemble. MGK in his boyish space suit in a foil-esqué metallic silver pantsuit by Dolce & Gabbana complimented his lady love–Megan, who wore a more subtle, romantic gown by Zuhair Murad. The chic, slim-fit design on Fox, featured a delicate chandelier-esqué, bronze and gold detailing that covered her waist, while MGK sparkled in a crystal body chain, layered over his metallic pantsuit.
