“I Am The First Transgender To Win This,” Kim Petras During Grammy’s Acceptance Speech For ‘Unholy’

In the recent Grammy Awards 2023, a history was created on-stage when Kim Petras became the first transgender woman to be honoured with this precious award in the Pop/Duo performance category. Kim Petras received the Grammy’s for the song ‘Unholy’, which she had collaborated with Sam Smith.

Kim Petras and Sam Smith’s ‘Unholy’ became everyone’s favourite in no time. In fact, it was also ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts. On February 5, Sunday, Kim Petras proudly held her Grammy’s Award on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community. Kim Petras and Sam Smith, went on the stage together to collect the award. During her acceptance speech, Kim Petras was elated to announce that she became the first transgender to win the Grammy Awards. She also thanked all the “Transgender legends” of the past who made the path easier for her. Kim Petras also thanked her close friend for her continuous encouragement and support. Sam Smith gave a loud cheer for her and Kim Petras also received a standing ovation from the crowd. It was definitely a moment that shall be written in golden letters in the Grammy Awards history.

Kim Petras was the happiest on stage. She looked stunning in a red dress with a red veil. Kim Petras opted for glam and glowing makeup, with a bright red lip shade. Her dress was also styled with an eye-catching neckpiece with a big red stone which looked like an antique piece.
