FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week Returns For Another Round Of Fittings, Fun And Fashion In Mumbai
Who doesn’t love fashion weeks? High on design drama and latest trends, with lit up ramps filled with India’s popular designer creations, fashion weeks chart down the most sizzling trends of the upcoming season, for us to look out for. And after a spectacular season in Delhi, the fashion and beauty household titles of India–Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Lakmé Fashion Week (jointly organised by Lakmé & RISE Worldwide) have joined hands to turn hosts for another spectacular season in Mumbai. Yes, you read that right!

After two consecutive years of phygital showcases, FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week brought home the best of designer creations, with presentations that championed diversity and sustainability earlier in March, 2022 with Delhi’s Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium serving as the perfect venue. And post the spectacular, successful March edition, FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week is now slated to visit Mumbai for another round to be held from October 12 to October 16, 2022. While there is still more in store for us to know, we’re excited to witness another edition of fun, fashion and extravaganza of a fully-physical show.

Expressing his views about the same, Sunil Sethi, Chairman FDCI shared, “we are happy to announce that the event will be back for its next physical showcase in the month of October.” He further added that the upcoming edition will transcend geographical boundaries and welcome a mixed roster of designers from across the country.
Sumati Mattu, Head of Innovations at Lakmé also talked about the successful March edition of FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week, which was a “showcase of Lakmé, RISE and FDCI’s grit and determination to help the beauty and fashion community navigate through the new normal.” The upcoming season is already gearing up for a spectacular another round of showcase and we just can’t keep calm.

The previous edition which took place during the month of March in Delhi was the first fully on-ground, physical, season-fluid edition of FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week, after two gruelling years served by the pandemic.
