Maheep, Bhavana, Neelam And Seema Looked Fiery And Fab As They Arrived For ‘Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives 2’ Launch Brunch
As the forthcoming seasons of my favourite shows near their release dates, my excitement explodes with joy. And while I am not so loud about this one, I am secretly awaiting the arrival of Netflix’s Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives. As the season returns with its second instalment, tomorrow, which is the 2nd of September, both the team and the fans seem to chant, “abh aur intezaar nahi hota.” And to celebrate its season two, the leading ladies, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, Bhavana Pandey and Neelam Kothari arrived for a launch brunch, with the producers of the show–Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. Besides tons of gup-shup about its latest instalment, the fabulous four brought their fashion A-game.
The rising popularity of prints was seen dominating the choices of many. First in line was Maheep Kapoor, who came dressed in the season’s favourite very-peri shade. Mrs Kapoor opted for a cute coordinated set, that featured a mix of lavender and mustard flowers. The floral set came teamed with a lilac-coloured tank top, to balance the monotony of the print-on-print look. Maheep further completed the ensemble with a pair of open-toe, two-strap heels and let her tresses loose for a sleek finish.

Besides Maheep, we also spotted her co-star and dear friend Neelam Kothari in a multi-coloured print. The asymmetrical sundress on Neelam featured a crowded print play in shades of orange, red blue, yellow and pink. The silhouette was further enhanced with a ruffle hemline, knee-high slit and a button detailing around the waist. To complete the look, the actress opted for a pair of lace-up heels in the shade of red and golden hoop earrings to seal the retro look.

While Maheep and Neelam gave a nod to statement prints, Bhavana Pandey chose to go monochrome and safe with her sartorial choice. Mother to actress Ananya Panday, Bhavana opted for a geometric printed, midi dress, with a front opening and tiny waist belt. To sprinkle her black and white attire with some colours, Mrs Pandey added a red Moschino, bucket bag and caramel lip shade. For accessories, Bhavana picked a pair of gold earrings and white pump heels.

Amidst the print play, the only two people to root for team denim were Seema Sajdeh and filmmaker/producer Karan Johar. For Seema, a pair of distressed denim was effortlessly styled with a light-washed denim jacket, that happily featured dazzling, golden lines all over itself. Seema completed the look with a pair of red, front tie-up pump heels, a matching manicure and enamel, gold hoop earrings.
Much like Seema, Mr Johar seemed like another fan of the denim-on-denim match, as he came dressed in one for the brunch. Being a lover of monogrammed prints, the filmmaker came dressed in a Balenciaga denim jacket in light-washed blue and a monochrome shirt, that loudly displayed the brand’s name. Karan chose a pair of deep blue jeans and added chunky white sneakers to add a finishing touch to his look.

Besides the cast of the show, actress Neha Dhupia too arrived at the brunch, as the special host. The actress came dressed in a pastel-themed, two-coloured dress and reminded us of the departed season of spring. Ms Dhupia’s interesting sartorial choice featured a dreamy, two-piece ensemble, that incorporated a blush pink, turtle neck slip, layered under aqua-coloured outerwear. The design on her delicate attire displayed a floral design and bell sleeves. Keeping the look simple, the actress chose to wear a pair of matching, powder pink, studded heels and kept her makeup extremely dewy and romantic.

Netflix’s popular show follows the fabulous lives of these famous Bollywood wives, as they display a slice of their personal and professional fronts. The show is all set to drop on our screens on September 2, 2022. Are we excited?
