From Shimmer To Beachy Prints, We Are So Not Over These Fantastic Style Moments From ‘Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives’ Season 1
Netflix’s Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives has contributed to immense buzz on the internet. From Bollywood parties, and star kids to their first-world problems, the first season of Karan Johar’s infamous show is all set to return for its next instalment. And while I am not here looking for a plot line in this eight-episode-long series, all I am saying is that if not anything, the fashion sure is fabulous. From Bhavana Pandey’s heel boots for a beach cleanup to Seema Sajdeh’s fantastic collection of accessories, we are digging out our favourite style moments from the show. Please join us on this hunt.
Colour Therapy
Much like their personalities, the leading ladies of the show pulled off a fabulous colour play in the teaser of season one. We loved the usage of fuchsia pink, teamed with tomato red and orange, as seen on Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari Soni, and Maheep Kapoor. Although we wished Seema to coordinate with her pals, her charcoal denim jumpsuit and white boots too have our attention.
The “Le Bal” Moment
For the much-talked-about Le Bal, Maheep Kapoor’s daughter and soon-to-mark her debut, actress Shanaya Kapoor was a sight to behold in red. The first few episodes of season one, take us on a flight to Paris for Shanaya’s debut at the prestigious ball. For the same, Ms Kapoor opted for a ruffled, red gown designed by French-Indian couture label, Lecoanet Hemant. Besides Shanaya, her mom Maheep Kapoor delivered a perfect saree moment at the ball, in designer Shehla Khan’s peach lace drape.
Fancy Denim
For the Fab Four, twinning was all about winning, which they eventually did with coordinated jackets. For their flight to Doha, Seema, Maheep, Bhavana and Neelam sported light-washed blue denim jackets with their names customised in thread embroidery at the back. Can I have my girlfriends do the same with me?
Seema’s Schiffli Set
Seema Sajdeh’s Doha-special wardrobe introduced us to this crisp schiffli set in blue from label–Alice McCall. Styled by celebrity stylist–Meagan Concessio, Seema teamed the blue coordinated set with a statement shell neckpiece and a handmade, woven bag. We are obsessed with this look!
Beach Ready
Hitting the beach in the sun, the Fab Four opted for statement prints and highlighter hues. And our favourite has to be Neelam’s kaftan dress, featuring an exuberant version of Aztec.
A Table For Four
Parties being an integral part of the fabulous lives of Bollywood wives, we spotted a lot of shimmer, and classic sequin dresses resting in their closets. Be it a fun, girls night out in Doha or a special soirée hosted by Gauri Khan, the leading ladies picked a piece in sequins to dress up. Also, can we please appreciate Gauri Khan’s classic red dress?
Print Party
Prints of all kinds played a crucial role in the wardrobes of these Bollywood wives. From floral, tie-dye to geometric, we loved the many flavours of these colourful prints worn by Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Seema Sajdeh and Neelam Kothari.
Ananya Panday’s Kind Of Glitter
Actress Ananya Panday too made it to some of the episodes of the show’s first season. And for the glamorous finale, the actress opted for a batwing-sleeved mini dress. The white Ilovepretty shimmer number also featured a quirky metallic belt that said–24 Hours Offline.

Couture At Best
Amongst the many show-stopping looks, Natasha Poonawalla shined above all. Ms Poonawalla appeared in the show’s finale, wearing designer label–Richard Quinn’s strapless, floral attire. She paired the look with thigh-high boots and black birdcage veil.
