The winner’s list highlighted some well-deserved awardees, including–Succession, Ted Lasso, and The White Lotus, amongst others. Besides these popular series, artists like Zendaya, Lizzo, Julia Garner, and Matthew Macfayden took home some of the biggest titles. On stage, celebrities brought with them some teary-eyed speeches, and on the red carpet some excellent sartorial skills. And as we talk about the latter, here’s a list of our favourite, best-dressed stars from the night. Take a look!

Zendaya

Zendaya turned muse to her current favourite Valentino, to accept the award of ‘Best Actress Award’ for Euphoria. The 26-year-old arrived in the designer house’s strapless, ballroom gown and described her love for old-school Hollywood glimmer. Styled by her all-time favourite collaborator Law Roach, the two-tier, form-fitting gown had a larger-than-ever trail to it. Zendaya further completed the look with the shiniest of diamonds from Bulgari and exhibited her big hair mood through theatrical, Disney-princess hair. Keeping the look both dreamy and edgy, the actress’ pocketed gown was complimented with minimal and soft dewy makeup.

Sydney Sweeney

Up next was Zendaya’s Euphoria co-star Sydney Sweeney, who trusted her signature tinsels to shine on the red carpet. For the big night, Sydney picked a gorgeous gown by designer–Oscar de la Renta. The form-fitting, two-layer gown in the shade dove grey featured intricate metal and sequin work, that formed a floral overlay. The backless silhouette incorporated a bustling train, originating just below a crystal belt. Sydney completed the look with minimal tear-drop earrings and hair styled into romantic curls.

Elle Fanning

Actress Elle Fanning arrived like a dream in designer Sharon Long’s custom-made gown. The strapless, two-toned attire came dipped in shades of black and pink. The silk/taffeta number exhibited a conceptualised, half-cup bust, decorated with floral embroidery, and a corseted-bodice, that featured panelled drawstrings, and a massive, black and pink trail. Elle matched the shade of her attire with her face makeup, as she bathed in blush. For hair, the All The Bright Places star styled her short bob into dramatic curls and sealed them with a glitter barrette.

Julia Garner

Gucci girl for the night, actress Julia Garner, trusted the designer house to sizzle on the red carpet. The Inventing Ana star arrived in a velvet, cocktail gown to accept the award of ‘Best Supporting Actress In A Drama’ for Ozark. The attire incorporated dramatic shoulder pads, a naval-baring front cut, and crystal and metal work embroidery, bordering the silhouette. Julia complimented the full-sleeved attire with Swarovski earrings, sky-high heels and hair styled into messy curls.

Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield is in the mood to experiment, and of course, we can sense that. Amidst his latest obsession for colourful suitings, Andrew arrived in a clean, white look to attend the Emmys. Our beloved Spider-Man trusted the fail-proof, monochromatic technique and opted for a crisp white blazer, self-white shirt, and matching pants. He further sealed the deal with a pair of black sunnies, and formal shoes.

Lizzo

A star in every stitch, American musician Lizzo arrived to accept the award for her Emmy winning, competition series–Watch Out For The Big Grrrls. The musician trusted designer house–Giambattista Valli and opted for a monumental, frilled gown. The off-shoulder, voluminous silhouette ended with an asymmetrical hemline and a long trail. To complete the red-hot look, Lizzo chose to add a pair of tiny drop earrings and styled her hair into a top-knot.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez trusted the power of white for her brief appearance at this year’s Emmys. The songstress arrived in Celine’s halter-neckline, loose-fitted cocktail gown in shimmering white. She decorated the semi-sheer number, using shoulder-grazing emerald tassel earrings and hair styled into an artistic bun. Well, the emeralds worked for her!

Nicholas Hoult

British actor–Nicholas Hoult whipped up a sleek and sharp look in Dior. Amongst the best-dressed men on the red carpet, Nicholas combined a pair of black, boot-cut pants with a neat black, cropped blazer. He layered it all with a white-collared shirt and gold-crystal chain lock neckpiece. The show-stopping element in Hoult’s look was his brushed brows and we need more men to try ’em!
