Actress Bhumi Pednekar has been dishing out some impressive looks. With a newly-transformed taste in fashion, the actress’ latest stint with style has been a delightful mix between edgy, and elegance. For the star, the idea of red-carpet dressing, and Diwali parties has pushed her into experimental silhouettes, and fresh designs. Something, we had not seen Bhumi doing. And while we can thank the actress for pushing the envelope, the real star behind this style recipe is stylist/producer–Rhea Kapoor.

Coming together for some uber cool style projects, both Bhumi, and Rhea have found a common ground in terms of their sartorial taste. Earlier exclusively styling her sister–Sonam, and occasionally helping Kareena Kapoor get dressed, Rhea has added Bhumi to her clientele. For the two Bollywood stars, fashion has found a new flavour in bohemian lehengas and sharp silhouettes. So, consider this as an appreciation post for the two powerhouses, as we look back at our favourite collaborative looks on Bhumi Pednekar, by Rhea Kapoor.
Bohemian Diwali
For a less-urban, more flavourful twist to a classic Diwali lehengas, Rhea dressed Bhumi in a bunch of lehenga designs by ace designer duo–Abu Jani, and Sandeep Khosla. One of them was this multimedia lehenga-choli on the star, which worked in favour of traditional bandhani, bohemian beads, crumpled skirt, and abundant colours. What we loved about the two-strap blouse, three-toned lehenga, and tassel-laden dupatta, was how masterfully it came styled with modern-day jewellery. This refreshing look on Bhumi was accessorised using a statement hair chain by–Mymotifs. Besides that, Bhumi chose to add a stack of silver jewellery to seal the look.

Infinity And Beyond
The biggest nod to India’s obsession with the under-boob cut, infinity blouses, was this classic rhinestone lehenga on Bhumi. For another Diwali bash, the star was dressed by Rhea Kapoor, in label–House Of Kotwara. The dreamy, three-piece traditional set featured sequin, and threadwork embroidery, coupled with a matching dupatta, and a geometric skirt design. Rhea styled the actress, with a statement choker, and earrings. For hair Bhumi trusted a simple, messy bun, and her glossy makeup look.

Pearl Perfect
Distinct from the previous two looks was this dreamy swan-like saree on Bhumi. The romantic concept saree was not only a marvellous pick for the actress, but the style of draping it was another masterstroke by Kapoor. Punctuated with organza rose blooms, the satin saree in white was paired with a sultry, bralette-inspired crystal blouse. Giving it a European-chic flavour was Bhumi’s soft makeup glam. She also dressed her tresses into stylish curls and trusted minimal jewellery to complete the ensemble.

Goddess In Black
At this year’s GQ Awards, Bhumi welcomed Rhea Kapoor to style her. The two stars worked around a classic look in black, and gold. On Bhumi, we saw a two-piece set by label–Tony Ward Couture. Dipped in black, the halter-cut, pleated blouse, found its match in a draped, front-frill skirt. The midriff-baring number was masterfully styled using a stack of yellow-gold spiral bangles, and a matching pair of gold hoop earrings. Giving the ensemble an edgy finish, was Pednekar’s idea of a sharp winged eyeliner, and glossy nude lips. This is hands down our favourite look.
