Balenciaga went down and dirty for its latest showcase at this year’s Paris Fashion Week. From the muddy runway, and baffled model faces to an unexpected cameo by Kanye West, there was more than what one could fix their attention to. Besides the runway drama, the collection had the viewers both confused and intrigued. Amongst the gamut of designs that featured snake-shaped stoles, corsets for men, and randomly knotted dresses, bag designs gathered the most eyeballs.

This time, Balenciaga skipped all the glitters and gold to go beyond bizarre. And yes we are talking about the viral handbag (quite literally). A leather tote in black, replaced a handle with sleeves, that you can insert your hand in, to carry around. Since its runway debut, the borderline bizarre design has been inviting an array of mixed reactions from the internet. Displaying the process of carrying the bag, a viral video features a woman who shows audiences how to wear the bag and move around.

Reacting to the design, and impractical nature of the product, the internet pariwaar rushed to the comments section to share its reactions. While some called the bag iconic, some questioned its design and mocked the luxury label for it. Checkout some of these reactions.

Well, Balenciaga’s sleeve bag is not the only hot piece on the internet. Previously the brand collected multiple laughs for its innovative Lay’s bag design, which literally looked like a packet of the famous potato chips brand, and is priced at $1,800 (INR 1,48,809).

I mean, Balenciaga really needs to think deeper and wiser in terms of designs. What do you think?
