The Gucci Pink Saves Alia Bhatt’s Otherwise Blah Maternity Look For ’Brahmastra’ Promotions
Alia Bhatt is gearing up for both motherhood and her much-awaited film Brahmāstra. For the promotional duties of the film, the actress has been dishing out a few but no less fab looks. In new pictures on her Instagram handle, we spotted the Darlings’ star in a tulle, pleated frill top by label–Gucci. Styled by celebrity stylist–Anaita Shroff Adajania, Alia put her baby bump on semi-display with a see-through pink top, teamed with a pair of black, high-waisted trousers and a waistcoat in the colour black.

Considering how weird the combination of a half jacket, pants and a dreamy pink looks in an ensemble, Alia’s choice of the Gucci pink is the only saving grace in the look. While the mom-to-be is turning to roomy silhouettes to dress up these days, this combination does not work well with her personal style. Keeping her face extremely minimal, she let her tresses loose, with a thin eyeliner sitting on her lids. As per jewellery, Ms Bhatt sports a few rings from label–Quod and leaves the rest to her charm to seal the look.

For the promotional tour of her upcoming release with husband/actor Ranbir Kapoor, Alia seems to be enjoying her maternity closet with a mix of oversized t-shirts, teamed with biker shorts, and sultry wrap-around dresses that come with a comfortable tie-up detailing. The coming together of candy pink and bold black in the new pictures is surprisingly fascinating and calls for your instant attention. Tapping to the tunes of Alia’s current sartorial priority, which is comfort, the monumental, voluminous pleats of the crinkle cotton fabric, come adorned with an extended frilled neckline and front opening, that ofcourse serve the purpose right.
