Yash Addresses Trolls Criticising Kiara Advani Over Intimate Scenes In Toxic, Says “Don’t Care…”

The excitement to watch Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown Ups is through the roof. The makers finally unveiled its official trailer yesterday during an event. However, the occasion became more meaningful after Yash praised his co-star Kiara Advani and addressed the harsh criticism she got for performing intimate scenes in the film. Yash Addresses Criticism Kiara Advani Faced
During the Toxic trailer launch event in Bangalore, Yash went up on stage and spoke about his co-stars. He left no crumbs while appreciating Kiara Advani’s efforts. The actor stated that the kind of role she has performed in the film is just a glimpse in the trailer. Yash called her a dedicated artist and stated that he has seen her work so hard. He recalled initially thinking, “Okay, when you get all these actors, there could be a problem, and there could be so many issues.” However, according to him, Kiara was so down-to-earth, adding that she dedicated herself and surrendered to this vision in the way she has performed. Addressing the criticism she got for the intimate scene in the film, Yash acknowledged that what she went through as an actor was unfortunate and asked her not to care. He stated that she should do what she belives in and people will celebrate and appreciate it, adding, “It’s just that we are a little ahead of time.”

After the first look of Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown Ups was released, followed by the Yash and Kiara Advani starrer song ‘Tabaahi’, netizens trolled the actress for performing intimate scenes. Many dragged her husband, Sidharth Malhotra, and made memes out of it. However, a section of people questioned why Yash was not being questioned for doing such scenes, considering that he is also married and has children.
As far as Toxic goes, it has been directed by Geetu Mohandas and also stars Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Shaikh and more. The film is slated to be out on August 26.
