Wild Wild Punjab Teaser: Luv Ranjan Is Back To Teach Men How To Get Over Women With Toxic Masculinity!

Aren’t we tired of film narratives that revolve around hating women? Well, some directors continue sticking to the same kind of recipe for their films and one among them is Luv Ranjan. The teaser of Wild Wild Punjab starring Varun Sharma, Sunny Singh and Manjot Singh in lead roles released on February 24. Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg are producing the film directed by Simarpreet Singh. The film’s story is about a group of boys who accompany their friend to crash at his ex’s wedding!

Wild Wild Entry Teaser

After Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Luv Ranjan turns producer and is back with yet another film for a lesson on how to be the perfect toxic guy. The trailer for his film Wild Wild Punjab is here. The story is about a group of boys who accompany their friend to make this random plan of crashing at his ex’s wedding. The trailer gives a glimpse of how this impromptu plan turns into a wild adventure for the four boys. The story promises to have many twists and turns in this fun adventure that eventually becomes violent. There are some action sequences in the film, and the trailer of Wild Wild Punjab gives glimpses of that too.

However, the problem lies in the fact that this film somewhere promotes the toxic entitled behaviour of men. To show your ex that you are “over” her, a guy crashes at her wedding along with his friends seems to be quite a problematic storyline. The fact that Luv Ranjan has made films that always showcase women or female protagonists on the evil side and he continues to stick to his same old recipe is now getting monotonous as well as problematic. Films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar have proved enough when it comes to the director’s perspectives about the female characters. Do we need another one?

Luv Ranjan’s Wild Wild Punjab will be released soon on Netflix.
