As per reports, the Chilean government halted the concerts because of technical issues at the Estadio Nacional. Officials said the K-pop group’s big 360-degree stage would be too heavy. It could put around 600 tonnes of weight on the field and damage the grass. This might create problems for other events later.
Sports Minister Natalia Duco said the cancellation is not final. They said there is no other big enough venue in Santiago or nearby cities like Vina del Mar and Concepcion that can safely hold so many people.
