It’s good news for Stree universe fans, as producer Dinesh Vijan confirmed that the third instalment, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is set to arrive in 2028. The producer, who recently attended FICCI Frames with the actor, discussed the franchise’s success in Hindi cinema and said it has grown into one of the most popular film franchises. Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao-Starrer Stree 3 Confirmed
After confirming the third instalment of Stree, Dinesh Vijan decided to keep everything else under wraps and said that director Amar Kaushik had already completed writing the script for the film. He went on to tease fans by saying that the film will keep the elements that the audience enjoyed in the franchise, while taking the tale in an unexpected and fun direction. Vijan went on to say that the film might have an Independence Day or Christmas Day release in 2028. Further, actor Rajkummar Rao recalled the early days of Stree when the team had started out with a small budget but had faith in Amar Kaushik’s vision.
For the unversed, the first part of Stree, featuring Rajkummar, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee, was released in 2028. It went on to become a huge box office success because of its humour and engaging storyline. The individual characters and their lines also became popular among the fans. After that, Stree 2 was also released in 2024 with the original cast, which further explores Kapoor’s storyline and her relationship with Stree.
