What To Watch This Week Of July 3 – July 10: ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’, ‘Koffee With Karan’

Unwinding yourself in front of your laptop by binge-watching a series or doing a movie marathon is one of the most relaxing activities. If you are a binging buff you will agree with me that when a show ends, it feels empty and the question remains which one next. Well, to help my fellow couch potatoes I have got the perfect list to sway away the dilemma. Lots of interesting stuff is dropping this week of July, from the interactive adventure of Ranveer vs Wild to scandalous tea on Koffee With Karan. There’s a true-crime documentary Here are the top picks for the additions to your watchlist.

What To Watch This Week Of July 3 – July 10:

1. Who is Ghislaine Maxwell

The Jeffrey Epstein scandal exposed a couple of other celebrities such as Prince Andrew for their mischievous actions. This documentary series takes into focus the life of a similar celebrity, Ghislaine Maxwell. She was a former British socialite and daughter of one of the biggest media tycoons, Robert Maxwell. The crime documentary focuses on the turn of events that lead to her sentence of 20 years of prison for aiding Jeffrey Epstein in sex trafficking.

The three-part series will be out on Lionsgate Play on July 8th, 2022.

2. Modern Love Hyderabad

This follows as the second instalment of the desi adoption of the acclaimed US shows Modern Love after Modern Love Mumbai. The anthology series explores abandonment issues and the topic of dating and maintaining a relationship in an urban, bustling city. It also throws light on the culture and life in the extraordinary city of Hyderabad. Director Nagesh Kukunoor explains the series as “Love is an emotion which has infinite expressions.”

The show is set for a global premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 8.

3. Boo Bitch!

Get over twilight’s fantasy of turning into a vampire, with this series where a high schooler turns into a ghost. Lana Condor, the protagonist of the series has been a wallflower throughout her life and now her life is even more complicated as she wakes up as a ghost.

The supernatural comedy series is set to hit Netflix on July 8.

4. The Gone Game Season 2

This VOOT psychological thriller web series unleashes a messy family feud involving scandals and murders. There’s a new mystery rising with Suhani Gujral’s murder and we’re intrigued about what happens next.

5. Koffee With Karan Season 7

The favourite talk show for the Bollywood fanatics is here with its 7th season on the 7th of July on Disney+Hotstar. This season will include a list of esteemed celebrities such as Ranveer Singh, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sara Ali Khan, etc. The trailer looks promising showcasing some crazy dance moves of Anil Kapoor.

6. Khuda Hafiz Chapter 2

This physically dynamic movie is finally releasing on 8 July 2022 in the theatres. The movie will witness the protagonist, played by Vidyut Jammwal, rescuing his daughter from human trafficking much like the first part where he rescued his wife from the same evil.

7. Thor: Love and Thunder

After all the battles he has fought, Thor is on a journey for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale). The movie showcases the journey of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) along with thor to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him from destroying everything. The movie will be out on the big screen on 7th July.

8. Titu Ambani

A story of a middle-class couple falling in love, getting married but then finding out that they have different aspirations post-marriage.The movie is a light-hearted depiction of the challenges in middle-class families. It is set to premiere on 8 July, theatrically.

9. Girl in the Picture

Warning- this movie is not for the faint-hearted as it is a complex true-crime story of an absolute monster of a human being who destroyed lives. It will be out on 6th July on Netflix.

10. Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between

Netflix brings you this unusual tale of a pact between a couple to break up. It is a romantic drama where Clare and Aidan make a pact to break up before they head to college, so there are no regrets and no heartbreaks. Find out from the movie, whether their love is enough to make them stay together through college, or if they should honour their pact and say goodbye forever. The movie will be available on 6th July.

11. C’mon C’mon

The movie is centred around Johnny whose work involves interviewing kids, tapping into their hopes and fears for the future, he goes on an impromptu road trip with his nephew Jesse, an eccentric, endearingly odd nine-year-old. The movie is shot in black and white and focuses on the power of listening. You can rent it on BookMyShowStream.

12. Black Bird

This real-life story is based on Jimmy’s turmoil who is the son of Big Jim Keene (Liotta), a respected and decorated policeman. Trouble boils down when he is sentenced to 10 years of prison. But he has a choice, he can avoid the sentence if he can befriend Larry Hall a suspected killer serving time in a maximum-security prison for the criminally insane. If Jimmy can get a confession out of Larry, he can be prosecuted. Watch out for this thriller on Apple TV on 8th July.

13. Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt Ltd

This new Zee5 series starring Amruta Subhash, Yamini Das, Anup Soni, Anjana Sukhani and Anandeshwar Dwivedi looks like a promising take on the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship. We cannot wait to see what this talented cast brings! The series drops on Zee5 on July 8.

14. Ranveer Vs Wild

Okay, we’d watch anything with Ranveer Singh and you wouldn’t have to ask us twice. But this one is particularly special because while Ranveer is on his jungle adventure with Bear Grylls, we get to decide how he makes mangal in this jungle! Bach ke rehna re Baba! The interactive adventure will stream on Netflix on July 8, two days after Ranveer Singh’s birthday. Clearly, it’s a gift for us.

On July 6th, you can also watch the fifth episode of Ms. Marvel where a time travel twist will shake up things and we’ll most certainly get some Fawad Khan! Another interesting episode to watch out for? The Boys Season 3 Episode 8, aka the epic finale of the season drops on July 8th and we promise you, it’s going to be diabolical AF! Will Soldier Boy keep his deal after learning about Homelander’s true identity or if he will turn The Boys on them? We shall find out!
