What To Watch This Week Of August 28 To September 3: Kushi, Friday Night Plan, The Wheel Of Time S2, And More

The two major things we look forward to at the weekend are sleeping or any new film release, OTT ho to aur acha! Till now, this year has been good in terms of content, whether it is OTT or theatrical release. We are already in the last week of August and all ready to enter the 9th month of this year. Many of your favourite couples are finally coming to the big screen this week. For eg, the much-awaited Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda film Kushi is releasing this week, and along with that, we have included all the exciting releases coming your way. So that you don’t miss out on your favourites and have enough content to binge watch too!

Friday Night Plan (Netflix)

This high-school and teenage life drama starring Babil Khan, Medha Rana, Juhi Chawla and Aadhya Anand is all set to release on Netflix on September 1. Directed by Vatsal Neelakantan, the film looked like an interesting watch from its trailer.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (Theatres)

We have all grown up watching Ninja Turtles and who isn’t excited about this film’s release? Jeff’s Rowe directorial, this action thriller film is all that the 90 kids need right to go back to the good old days. This film also releases on September 1.

The Equalizer 3 (Theatre)

Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning, David Denman, Sonia Ammar, and Remo Girone starrer The Equalizer 3 is directed by the well-known director Antoine Fuqua. The first two parts of this film were a success and the same is expected from the third too which releases on September 1.

King of Kotha (Hindi Version) (Theatres)

Dulquer Salmaan starrer King Of Kotha is finally coming in the Hindi version. The film is directed by Abhilash Joshiy and if you’re looking forward to an action-filled ride this weekend, then this one is definitely for you. The film will be out on September 1.

Kushi (Theatre)

Quite opposite to the last film. this one is a cute and dramatic love story starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda. In this film, the couple will navigate through the complications of married life only to realise that love is not everything! The wait is finally over because it will be coming to the theatres near you on September 1.

A Day And A Half (Theatre)

Directed by Fares Fares, this film is going to be an intense thriller drama about a man who kidnaps his daughter from a medical centre where his ex-wife works. The film is all set to drop on September 1.

The Freelancer (Disney Plus Hotstar)

Neeraj Panday directorial, this series stars Anupam Kher, Mohit Raina and Sarah Jane in pivotal roles. This will be released on September 1, This series is inspired by a book A Ticket To Syria.

Tushar Hiranandani’s directorial is based on the book Telgi Scam: Reporter’s Ki Diary written by Sanjay Singh. It is a show that you can watch this weekend.

Is She The Wolf? (Netflix)

Releasing on September 3, this is a Japanese reality show and it could be a fun watch. Give it a watch!

Kang Daniel: My Parade (Theatres)

Finally, a musical documentary is on this list. Directed by Jaeseok Park, this documentary stars  Daniel Kang and Michael Kim, it will be released on August 30, Wednesday.

Golda (Theatres)

A biological drama directed by Guy Nattiv, this film is about the Isreal Prime Minister Golda Meir. So if history is really your area of interest, watch this film on September 1.
