What To Watch This Week Of September 13 To September 19: ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’, ‘Jogi’, ‘Dahan’, And More

What is that one thing you need after a really long, hard week of soul-crushing (I know a bit dramatic, but hey it’s okay!) work? Well, I don’t know about you but I really need some me time – away from the people, the noise, and even the responsibilities (at least for a while). And when I do get this “me time” I often wonder what all things I should do – yes, I’m barely prepared. But not this time. Nope, after the week I am having, I have decided how I’m going to spend my weekend – binging! I mean, why not, there are some amazing shows and movies releasing this week, that it really is hard to miss. And so I did a little research and came up with what to watch for this week’s list.

Wondering what is on my binge list this weekend? Well, don’t worry, it’s not a million-dollar question – you just have to scroll down and have a look at my what to watch for this week’s list.

What To Watch This Week:

1. Jogi

Diljit Dosanjh has dabbled in movies before and is now back again with a shocking and gruesome movie that is based on the 1984 Delhi riots. Jogi follows the lives of three friends whose courage and will are beyond inspiring. The movie also features Amyra Dastur. Kumud Mishra, and Zeeshan Ayub in pivotal roles. The movie is set to stream on Netflix from September 16.

2. Everything Everywhere All At Once

Everything Everywhere All At Once follows the life of a Chinese immigrant who unintentionally and unwillingly becomes a part of an epic adventure. What is the adventure? Well, she has to connect multiple versions of herself in the parallel universe to stop the antagonist from harming the multiverse. This intense sci-fi, adventure movie stars Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu, Jamie Lee Curtis, and many more. It is set to release on September 16, 2022, in theatres.

3. Heartbreak High

Heartbreak High is a school-centred, sex-obsessed series that has more meat than you’d expect. The show follows the friendships of Amerie, Harper, Quinni, and Darren as they navigate through love, sex, heartbreak, and more at Hartley High. The first episode of the series is set to release on September 14, 2022.

4. Love Is Blind: After The Altar S2

After the second season of Love Is Blind, where all the contestants got engaged without meeting each other, Love Is Blind: After The Altar S2 is catching up with all those couples to find out what they have been up to since the reunion episode and get juiciest of dramas just for the audience. The show will release on Netflix on September 16.

5. Dahan: Raakan Ka Rahasy

This is a nine-episode series that tells the story of an IAS officer who is supposed to resolve a conflict between a mining corporation that wants to extract a rare metal deposit found under a temple and the locals. However, the road to this isn’t easy as there are dark stories associated with the temple – one of them states that if any harm comes to the temple then it will cast doom on everyone else. Dahan: Raakan Ka Rahasy is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on September 16, and features Tisca Chopra, Rajesh Tailang, Mukesh Tiwari, Rohan Joshi, Saurabh Shukla, Lehar Khan,  and Ankur Nayyar.

6. College Romance S3

One of my favourite Indian web series is back with a third season. After two really successful seasons, College Romance is back with another where the gang of close-knit friends navigate things that are more than just college and romance – and they do this together, as a family. The new season will release on SonyLiv on September 16, 2022.

7. Shiksha Mandal

The story of Shiksha Mandal is inspired by true events and exposes one of the biggest medical entrance exam scams in the country. The web series directed and written by Syed Ahmad Afzal features Gauhar Khan, Gulshan Devaiah, and Pawan Malhotra. The series will premiere on September 15 on MX Player.

8. Where The Crawdads Sing

Where The Crawdads Sing is a mystery-thriller that follows the story of a woman who becomes a suspect in the murder of a man she was once involved with. The movie starring Daisy Edgar and Taylor John Smith is set to release in theatres across India on September 16.

9. Middle-Class Love

This romantic comedy is about a young college boy who is frustrated with his middle-class family set and finds a way to get out of it. And the way he finds is through love but it isn’t that easy – especially when you have probing parents and their middle-class thinking. The movie starring Prit Kamani, Kavya Thapar, and Eisha Singh in leads is set to have a theatrical release on September 16.

Also take note, that this week some of the best episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and House Of The Dragon are dropping on Disney+ Hotstar. Along with that, we have the third episode of Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power coming out on Prime Video. And the cherry on the cake is that Emmy Awards are currently being streamed on Lionsgate.

Now that you have my binge list with you, it’s time to get done with work fatafat and get those popcorns (and socks, if you’re anything like me) ready, so that you can start binging!
