False claims spread like wildfire on social media and people blindly trust them. It’s often celebrities who are targeted with them. The same was the case when a video started circulating online that featured Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber and their friends. It was claimed that his wife, Hailey Bieber, stopped Kylie from “seducing” the singer. Umm, what? Upon looking at the comments section, many people believed it without thinking twice.

In the video, we can see Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber and a few of their friends enjoying the moment and singing in the mic. The caption claimed that Hailey Bieber stepped in when she noticed Kylie was allegedly trying to “seduce” her husband. In that, we can see a woman close to the reality show star singing along with them. Upon taking a close look, it seems that she was not Hailey, as the caption claimed. The claim in the caption is a clear example of how misinformation can spread rapidly. Most of the time, misinformation thrives on s*xist stereotypes that pit women against each other for entertainment. The worst part is that instead of questioning the false claim, many users accepted the idea that women are naturally in competition over men. If you look at the comments section, you can see users bashing Kylie and praising Hailey. Additionally, there was no sign of the reality show star “seducing” Justin. The duo, along with Hailey, are good friends, and that bond has been reflected very clearly multiple times.
