Vivek Oberoi Reveals Why He Turned A Businessman, Says The Industry Is A Very Insecure Place!

While not many people have addressed the most controversial sides of Bollywood, which still exist deep down, some actors courageously speak up about it. Recently, the Saathiya star Vivek Oberoi opened up about dealing with the Bollywood lobby and how he did not allow it to decide his future. The actor also talked about his Plan B which was to become an entrepreneur and at what point he decided to take this switch while keeping acting as his passion immediately. Read on for more.

Vivek Oberoi Talks About Bollywood Lobby

Vivek Oberoi lives a happy life in Dubai but has continued to work in films as and when he wants. He spoke about this balance during an interview with SCREEN. The actor said that he has done around 67 projects in 22 years but also stated that the film industry has some very insecure people. Vivek Oberoi added that despite an actor doing well in his field, winning awards, and getting projects, they could still lose out on films for various other reasons. Talking about his own experience, Vivek Oberoi said that he was expecting a lot of offers after winning awards for the Shootout At Lokhandwala song Ganpat, however, he sat without any work for almost 14-15 months.

Vivek Oberoi then said that in 2009 he finally decided to work out his Plan B which was business because he did not want any lobby to control him and force him to work according to them. The actor said that he wanted to keep acting as a passion and not allow the lobbies to decide his future and trap him. The actor firmly stated that he did not let himself become the victim of the lobbies and make a living out of acting, and therefore he decided to start his business.

Vivek Oberoi was recently seen in Rohit Shetty series Indian Police Force.

He has also signed up for Masti 4 and is quite excited about the project.
