Another feather in the cap for comedian Vir Das, and we are proud. Recently, the much-awaited Emmy Awards nominations were announced, and guess what: Vir Das has yet again secured a nomination at the prestigious television awards. He has secured the nominations for his comedy special, and this in itself is huge; we cannot wait for the results to be announced.

Vir Das Secures Third International Emmy Award Nomination

The list of International Emmy Award nominations was announced on September 23. And our very own actor-comedian Vir Das has secured a nomination, and that too, for the third time. His Netflix special comedy show, Netflix special Vir Das: Fool Volume, has earned a nomination at the prestigious award ceremony, and he is sharing this list of nominees with several other international performers and artists. We have to wait till November 23 for the results, as the Emmy Awards will be taking place a month from now.

This is the third time Vir Das’ work has been nominated for Emmys. He was nominated for the first time in 2021 for Vir Das: For India. That’s not it. Vir Das went on to win the first International Emmy Award in 2023 for his comedy special Vir Das: Landing. He shared this award with Derry Girls Season 3. Well, the first Indian Comedian to win this extremely prestigious award. We are sure you remember that Vir Das has also hosted the Emmy Awards in 2024.

For the unversed, Vir Das recently co-directed Happy Patel with Kavi Shastri. The film received a positive response. It also featured actors like Mona Singh and Mithila Palkar, along with an Aamir Khan cameo.
