Vijay Deverakonda Claps Back At Critics

Vijay Deverakonda took to his Instagram and shared a picture and video featuring Rashmika Mandanna. In the caption, he called her his best friend, wife, and woman, adding, “One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got absolutely right.” He addressed those concerned people, saying that he is very happy and blessed. Vijay further wrote that, “If it’s me and her against the world – so be it.” The actor penned “big love” to those people who celebrate love and the simplicity of living happily. Why Is This Problematic?

Yes, public figures are not answerable to you. Yes, they shouldn’t cater to your expectations, but you as a public figure can choose what part of your life you want to share. Here, we feel that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna chose to speak about their relationship on Koffee With Karan. And it’s only natural that people give their respective opinions about it. But for Vijay to say “Everyone else can go f*ck off” in the caption sounds disrespectful to the audience that literally worships him. If it actually doesn’t bother you, then why take the trouble to make an entire post about it? What most of the internet had a problem with was his attitude throughout the interview. The outrage was to just protect Rashmika in case she doesn’t find his gestures “problematic”.

But again, to each their own, because, like Vijay rightly said, who are we even?
